I am using that option but if it's different authors as in my example I get the first and second author and then collapse. However, I want only the first author
-
In addition I don't want a space between a and b (Ellis & Coppins 2007a,b) NOT (Ellis & Coppins 2007a, b)
-
anyone?
-
Thank you, I just wrote them now and I'll post any response

as far as I know right-clicking on the surname doesn't give any transform options. Could we have that? or even better a automatic transformation as suggested
-
thank you for the information. I tried to upload it without removing it but I got the response that it already existed. I am sorry for the upper case thing. I will keep that in mind. I will probably make a lot of mistakes but I am a beginner and ju…

Hm apparently, it is still the old version of the oecologia style. I deteled that one and uploaded it again. I still don't get it how I can make changes to uploaded styles
-
It looks quite close to the Oecologia style.
-
@noksagt: I tried to make dependent styles but I don't think it worked https://www.zotero.org/trac/timeline
-
I uploaded a new version of Oecologia now. Please use that one instead. Remeber if you've already started using a style in a word-document you have to choose a different style and then turn back to the one you want in order to use the updated version
-
I made some changes to the oecologia style but only on my local copy. I don't know how to upload the changes All the journals I listed share the same style. They are journals of the British Ecological Society
-
apparently you need to remove option name="disambiguate-add-givenname" it doesn't help to set it to false. However, the default seems to be "false" so removing it works
-
So there is actually no way to change the style to use periods or no periods? This need to be fixed
-
Thank you. However, I don't want periods in the journal abbreviations for instance Basic and Applied Ecology should abbreviate as Basic Appl Ecol and not Basic Appl. Ecol. as it is now it only use what is written in my database. This is no good c…

I've made a style for Oecologia but see http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/4620/
-
Perfect, it worked with jedit. I have now uploaded a style for Oecologia http://www.zotero.org/styles However, there are some things that I haven't been able tofix 1) There should not be a comma between author(s) and year in the in-text-citations…

Hm no luck there either. I think I'll give up
-
I've been using chrome://zotero/content/tools/csledit.xul and then copied it to notepad (winXP)
-
Thank I didn't manage though. I get "Please use Unix newlines for CSL files" What should I do?
-
Thank you I installed TortoiseSVN and openened and found https://www.zotero.org/svn/extension/trunk/styles I tried to copy my csl file to that location and I was prompted for my userid and password but I got "403 Forbidden"
-
I would like a style for Oecologia. Instructions are found at http://www.springer.com/life+sci/ecology/journal/442?detailsPage=contentItemPage&CIPageCounter=104122 The style for "Journal of Evolutionary Biology" is quite close to this with some…
-
Is there anyway that the ISI-list linked above could be used?
-
Have this been fixed yet?
-
Also make sure you give a link or copy paste the style guide from ESA
-
Find a similiar style at http://www.zotero.org/styles and identify the differences and post a request at http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/536/ See also http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/4423/ If you do it this way you will more likely get hel…
-
hm you are right about option name="et-al-use-first" value="6" should be 5. I have been looking at more recent articles now and apparently the one I looked on before was wrong. The sixth author should also be abbreviated However, that article also …
-
Ok I see I think the journal article that did show retrieved from information had accesss date. That was probably the difference.
-
Thank you very much yes I know the text wasn't too good. I just copy pasted it from the journal website. I found out that disambiguate- add-givennames fixes this (instead of givenname.) The manual doesn't say anything about web references. Howeve…
