update- all is well. The update didnt remove the old office. once i did it manually then asked zotero to reinstall the word plug in and reopened the new word i finally got the permission question. Thank you for your support!!!

lol. i've downgraded since zotero didnt work for office 365 2018 for mac. before Mojave zotero worked just fine.

Well google scholar did kick me out but after i've continued it i'm not a robot i was allowed access. The Zotero add on however refused to save links to my library nevertheless.
