huh -- with the Zotero connector installed, it should prompt you to install the style. Alternatively, you can download the file (right-click --> save link as) and double-click to install in Zotero.

Whereas almost all DOIs are registered with metadata that Zotero can import, ISBNs aren't registered centrally with metadata -- Zotero can only import by ISBN if a book is cataloged in one of the (very large) library catalogs it's looking in -- that…
-
FWIW, if you want to move an item out of its parent (which typically you wouldn't want to do, but in some rare cases, e.g. when you attached it mistakenly or the completely wrong metadata was retrieved automatically, might make sense), you can just …

form="short" makes sense to me. No need dir anything fancier
-
Yes, you can import those as described in the link bwiernik posted
-
Do you mean attachments or metadata? Metadata always syncs through Zotero. If you want sync, that's the only option. Webdav doesn't even begin to offer the infrastructure to sync complex databases
-
ChatGPT is terrible for most things Zotero. Don't waste your time. The URL field is.for links to be included in citations and so doesn't take file:// links. There's nothing you can do about that, I'm afraid
-
Not possible. I've also never seen this as a.cotation requirement: looks weird (.and unnecessary) to me
-
*call-number obviously
-
That's just incorrect metadata in Zotero. How exactly did you import that?
-
The debug ID would need to be posted here,. not just submitted

3 and 5 (tablet) were Zotfile features. 6 is a feature of the Obsidian integration. 1 has been a long running issue in various ways: Linux doesn't have a reliable way to access system standard tools.across distros. You can look through some existin…

Have you tried key macro="Autor" as the secondary condition?
-
We'd need to see the whole style to say more (post to a free code sharing site like pastebin.com and link), but FWIW, this pattern is fairly standard in Footnote styles such ase https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:historia-scribere&format=note&am…

you'd have to rename one of them manually either way.

Not to rub it in (I very much the institutional limits of IT policy and frustrations that go along with it) but one of the things that BBT does for you is writing a customizable, stable citation key to the Extra field ('pin the citekey' in the add-o…
-
Windows security policies are highly configurable, so I definitely won't promise that this is the only impact you should expect, but if the macros trigger the add citation dialog, assigning them a keyboard shortcut will do exactly the same as clicki…

we're not aware of any such option in RIS -- it's just a very basic import/export format with a number of flaws. Most other formats either specify family and given names separately or at least have escaping (BibTeX).
-
I'm pretty sure if you're able to run the macros that'll get you what you need. "Run this macro" is a command.
-
Which browser is this? Works for me in Firefox
-
I think the BBT add-on is more vigorous with double brackets, so that'd fix this for you. Note that you can also use CSL JSON with quarto, which avoids loss due to format conversion (since quarto uses the same CSL styles Zotero does)

There are no changes related to either search or de-duping in the current version of Zotero 7.
-
@bwiernik -- do we ever need the plural "Nos" here? Could we just make it always singular (I agree the behavior is probably a bug, but at least the Nos part we could easily prevent)

You are aware that you can do right -click --> create book section?
-
Definitely not by just entering the book information and having ZOtero "guess" -- the main work wouldn't be the page ranges but the chapter title and authors and I don't see how Zotero would guess those? That said, if the book is listed with chapte…

Metadata availability frequently lags behind resolution. You can test either in Zotero locally or by searching on search.crossref.org if you think the problem is zotero.org/save in your case https://search.crossref.org/search/works?q=10.1002/cl2.14…

You can set the tablet folder on any folder (like GDrive, OneDrive, Dropbox, iCloud) that syncs to you folder, then "Send to tablet" open from that folder with PDF Expert (or any other tool), annotate and save, your sync service syncs, and you can t…

You need to manually run it as described e.g. here: https://wordribbon.tips.net/T012976_AutoFormatting_a_Document.html

The comma can't be adjusted in locales, so this can't be changed. You'd have to live with this, adjust the style, or work with a German style. We do have a 16th edition German one -- I'd need to see if that's actually used anywhere as a dependent, o…
