For context -- the SBL style started using collection-title for volume titles before volume-title was available in CSL. This got copied for MBTS (and should ideally also be updated in SBL)

No changes. Test that "Add File" in the GUI still works and that you aren't trying to drag to a group without file sharing.

You should try from the article landing page, not from the PDF view. Zotero will try to get the PDF file and display the captcha to you as needed.

You're linking to the same paper twice. FWIW, it's pretty quick to just drag a PDF away from under the metadata and then manually create a new parent item. 3 clicks instead of one, but not exactly laborious, either.
