You should try from the article landing page, not from the PDF view. Zotero will try to get the PDF file and display the captcha to you as needed.

There are dozens. You can browse through these (they have different number formats, but lots with brackets) https://www.zotero.org/styles?fields=biology&format=numeric&dependent=0 This one looks nice, e.g.: https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=i…

There is no such thing as "Zotero Education". If your institution has an institutional storage agreement with Zotero (while there are now a good number of educational institutions that do, the vast majority do not), you only need to make sure to hav…

No, you are misreading the rule. The authors aren't identical, only the first author is, and as I say above, the current behavior is correct APA
-
Yeah, so this is wild -- the metadata for the incorrect paper is explicitly written into the metadata of the Imbalance paper. If you download it (with or without Zotero), open it in Acrobat, and look at the properties, here's what you see: https://s…

Sorry, I had just misread the links; ignore the 2nd part.

On my end it appears that "Rename File From Parent Metadata" is only a right-click option if selecting one pdf file at a time. No, that's not right. It's only available if you're selecting only attached PDFs, but you can have any number of them sel…

You're linking to the same paper twice. FWIW, it's pretty quick to just drag a PDF away from under the metadata and then manually create a new parent item. 3 clicks instead of one, but not exactly laborious, either.

Last, First is the only proper way to input data in Zotero. "First Laste"aka "single field" mode is principally for institutions and will lead to incorrect export and incorrect citations.
-
Yes, that's right
-
Yeah, if someone edits a document in a different word processor, the citations get 'flattened' -- I don't think there's an alternative to re-inserting them, I'm afraid. Note that you _can_ move documents between work processors while keeping live c…

Works for me. Run through https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues

Hmmm -- but in https://academic.oup.com/jme/advance-article/doi/10.1093/jme/tjaf013/7997569?searchresult=1&login=true there are there URLs without access date (The Florida Health ones and Loyd et al.) @Jmcewan1984 -- could you clarify house sty…

The local option is fine (note that somewhere in the instructions it says "make sure you use Zotero 6" -- that's outdated; both the latest version of Zotero 6 and 7 should be fine)
-
@mokbay @damnation -- where are you taking the access date from? I don't see that in the linked article or author guide
-
Yes it's accessible. You can just link to it from your homepage or any other place you find relevant. You shouldn't rely on Zotero's search/site to make your library findable
-
Your library is principally local (and won't be affected by any changes in your storage subscription). Under normal use, you won't lose access to any files when your storage subscription lapses. The server holds a synced online version of your local…

You can just run Word's autoformat over the selected bibliography and (assuming you have Word's hyperlinking feature turned on, which it is by default) it'll hyperlink the DOIs. See https://wordribbon.tips.net/T012976_AutoFormatting_a_Document.html …

Could you please link to the relevant author guidelines?

Notes have a 200k character limit. Those are actual characters used, so annotations, formatting, etc. add to the count. And yes, notes are fundamentally distinct from attachments. If you want to extract information into large text/md files, I'd att…

All of those Zotero databases are empty. Do you have a back-up of that folder from earlier? What operating system are you on?
-
Yes, very good chance it is -- the debug would likely show that definitely, but since the proxy is needed to provide access to the PDF, I'd almost be surprised if the two aren't related.
-
Could you provide a debug ID from both the connector and Zotero for doing that? https://www.zotero.org/support/debug_output
-
@sdflewrit783 -- different issue; there are a bunch of threads about completely turning off the OA copy functionality that you can look at, but that's not what daniel.r is asking here. @daniel.r -- Zotero will always prefer the publisher version wh…

All metadata will continue to sync. All files will remain in your local library(ies). Zotero will never delete any files (or anything else) from your local library, unless, of course, you explicitly delete it. After about a month, files will be de…

Bottom of the general tab of the preferences (in Zotero 7 -- I think you can do this in Zotero 6, but I forgot how) https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u2433/xhmfltgjixji2s1s0jcf.png

It is working normally in general. Under some circumstances, you can overwrite the Word style set for the bibliography and you'll then see something like the above. This applies to all Zotero/CSL styles and isn't SAA specific. In that scenario, swi…

I'm not aware of any work on hierarchical relationships and wouldn't expect anything on that in the near future. CSL does have the periodical item type now and you can use it in citation styles with type: periodical in the Extra field. That will th…
