It sounds to me like OneDrive is completely irrelevant to Zotero here -- that's just were the files originate. Once they are dragged to (and thus stored in) Zotero, their original location doesn't matter anymore.
-
I think mostly these are must misunderstandings (and you relying on outdated screenshots/information). 1. Zotero 7 does not longer have a tabbed right-hand pane, see https://www.zotero.org/blog/zotero-7/ 2. prefs.js is in the profile, not the data…

No, and it's unlikely to be added. Zotero has always been based on the idea that people do most of their research in their browsers and take advantage of the various specialized features of library catalogs and scholarly databases.
-
If you've actually removed all instances from the document, you have a remaining one in a hidden citation field. Have Word show field codes to identify where and delete: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/word_field_codes
-
Yes, that's intended behavior of CSL names/substitute for exactly the reason you say. Someone would need to update that style -- you can work around it by using choose/if instead of substitute, it's just lengthier. We (that is: both Zotero and CSL)…

We're aware, yes. The styles are just to big (or,. specifically,.have too many macros)

If I click the Zotero Connector (Chrome extension) in my browser and find that the metadata and PDF are copied over to my Zotero account, is that not using the Zotero Connector? It is, but it is virtually certain that that isn't how this item was im…

Chicago 18 got rid of the publisher location. The 17th edition and Chicago 18 styles labelled as 'classic' on https://zotero.org/styles still have it.
-
You are misremembering. That didn't change and never happened. You might have used linked files before, maybe with Zotfile?
-
I'm 'afraid' it's working for me, too, so I can't reproduce the error either. Best I can tell, we're on the new EBSCO interface, too.

FWIW, you can just run any storage analyzer tool.on the zorero/storage folder and then find any of the items in Zorero by searching for their subfolder name as described by dstillman above
-
That column isn't available in Zotero by default; it's added by a plugin, most likely Better BibTeX. Ask the developer on GitHub
-
No, as long as you are using Zotero's own sync, everything is fine. Using other sync solutions (like Dropbox) is the problem
-
That's not Zotero's server. It looks like you have the Zotero data directory in a custom location, potentially an external harddisk or a server? Either way, Zotero isn't able to connect to it -- change it back to its default location in the preferen…

For example the Linked Attachment Base directory will work in the case I have on pc1 C:\users\name\PDF and on pc2 C:\users\documents\AM\study\PDF? exactly, yes. For subfolders, not sure exactly what you mean by 'recognized' -- but if the path is th…

That's an open public membership library (https://www.zotero.org/groups/2260390/lter-sev_site_bibliography ) -- that's an extremely risky setting for a group library and it looks like one of your members messed the group metadata up. You should be a…

It's live in Firefox and Safari. Edge and Chrome depend on their respective app stores
-
If the paths are exactly the same, the Linked Attachment Base directory doesn't do anything -- its function is for you to have files at paths that differ in the beginning (e.g. a.different username or even Mac vs PC). Setting this up the way you des…

I doubt this is hacking. Which plugins do you have installed? This much rather looks like a plugin gone awry.
-
Could you provide an example? This shouldn't have changed at all
-
(Almost certainly an OVID export -- you'll recall this keeps happening and we ought to try to detect it on RIS import.I think)
-
Podcaster doesn't exist in CSL. Zorero maps it to author. Zettlr apparently to director.
-
Check the Linter for Zotero plugin
-
@jvoros -- could you post the metadata for one or two of the items in question either here (in tags) or on a github gist or so and link to them? Easier to just look at them then to go through all the possibilities.
-
@dstillman would you mind splitting the conversation with padraicrohan into a new thread starting with this post?? @padraicrohan -- it's not your machine, it's the original, long document. It's a little hard to say what's going on, but the old styl…

Depends on what you want in terms of citation style: the easiest would be to move your cursor to the end of the document and click "Add/edit bibliography"
-
Note that Zorero does let you specify a secondary sort already.

Here's the troubleshooting and the relevant info for what details to report, though what you described would be quite odd: sync can fail, but only failing in one direction is highly unusual. https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/changes_not_syncing

Can you create the first example in a new document with just 2-3 citations? If so, could you export the item to CSL JSON, open in a text editor, copy & paste to pastebin.com or a similar code sharing page and link to it from here?
