This has always been one of two options: 1) drag multiple items to a tag in the tag selector on the left 2) use the colored tag number key to assign a tag to all selected items.
-
Something looks off about your Zotero data folder (the files with (1) (2) (3) really shouldn't be there) but you should be able to repair this by: 1. Closing down Zotero 2. Making a copy of that entire directory and placing it somewhere save 3. rena…

The basics work for me there. Could you provide exact steps to reproduce and also a URL exactly as you see it, please?
-
but the relate selected items function is Zutilo which has now been updated, no?
-
This has long (!) been planned (requests go back to 2007 and there's an open 2010 ticket), though no idea about current progress on this. But you're very much not the only person asking for this.
-
No, purging won't work for that, don't use it. If I understand you correctly, you want to completely delete all the items that are just files, not attached to an item? For that, you can sort by item type in the middle panel and then delete all th…

Zotero is usually willing to switch recently bought storage subscriptions that were bought for the wrong account to a different account. email storage@zotero.org with details & a link to this thread
-
In most cases, this is the result of syncing with a different account. Check the account in your sync settings with the username you used to ugrade (i.e. the one here)
-
I understand you're worried about your files, but you're currently telling dstillman (Zotero's lead developer) at the same time that you want his advice and that you don't believe his advice. Obviously that won't work. You either need to decide you…

We'd always want a couple of examples.

If you look for that precise error, the response has always been that it's most likely something else installed in Word -- do you have any other plugins/templates (e.g. Endnote, Grammarly, etc.) installed in Word? The fact that it's working in Z6 a…

You're referring to this style? https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:metropolia-university-of-applied-sciences-harvard That's intended to include full first names and has been that way for many years. Why do you think that's not correct?
-
I'd expect CSL JSON to work better overall, FWIW, since it's a quasi native Zotero format (it's what Zotero uses for citations)
-
You are misremembering. It's sudo apt install zotero-beta in the last line and I am pretty sure that has always been the case
-
I think we can fix this in the main import. It's supposed to handle bi latex which I believe now includes dataset.
-
The bulk of the field code is CSL JSON which includes all fields from Zotero that could possibly be used in a citation or bibliography (which includes the abstract, e.g. for annotated bibliographies). You can probably Google this, but if you have a …
-
I don't have Zotero open right now, but assume it's stumped by the (unofficial) dataset type used in BibTeX by Zenodo. Use CSL JSON export (or see if you can use add by identifier using the DOI)
-
I'm not quite sure I understand the structure of your library. Could you share a screenshot of your middle panel that includes some items that aren't exported?
-
Might be an issue with the Toolkit then? (that's a 3rd party tool). The Crash Report error should be harmless. That's in most Zotero errors (including mine) and the fact that adding that filepath fixes something is more likely than not a co-incidenc…

If you have the bibtex, you can just copy it to your clipboard and then select "Import from Clipboard" from the File menu, so that's what you should do here. If you just have a formatted citation, see https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/importing_fo…

Probably a better question for zotero-dev, but the short version is that the programmatic way of doing this is via OAuth. The only alternative I'm aware of is manual lookup.
-
I'd not stress too much about how exactly the citation will end up looking -- the main point is that it's clear what you're using. I'd probably tend towards map for GIS webpages, but dataset might also be an option.
-
No, selectively syncing attachments isn't possible, nor are the other scenarios you suggest (which would for various reasons also just be bad ideas). If you can't afford a Zotero file storage plan sufficient for the size of your library, you can l…

got it, thanks. That's clever.
-
are you saying the = instead of : makes BBT to treat the field as LaTeX?
-
https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/103321/how-does-find-available-pdf-works (in other words, you can't)
-
Could you say how you managed to figure that out? You're presumably not the only person with Zotero and Anaconda on their machine, so good chance others might see this.
-
You could turn a subset of your attachments into links using ZotMoov or Attanger.
-
CSL has the second-field-align property, which is principally designed for numeric styles, but would kind of work. The one issue is that it doesn't do linebreaks in the left column, so that'd just get longer and longer. I you might be able to get th…
