Fascinating! It must have never worked. Group and File Editing had been set, by default I believe, to "Only group admins." Would not have occurred to me that a "Private Membership" group would be restricted that way. Does the group creation process …

I don't believe so. The group owner corresponds to a shared email account, so I just checked: the Manage Members page lists my normal account (the one that's having problems) as Role: Member.

For reference: I have a second machine with the same Zotero setup. I've done little more than hit Sync there, and the group library is read-only there as well.
