I have tried to follow the steps recommended here (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/281596) and here (https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/cert_override). But it doesn't seem to be clear in which to copy the cert_override.txt file. Copying …

Thanks for asking, but no, actually I can't because of an error message (""Invalid response from repository"). I'll post the output here. It looks like a certificate problem. Where would I have to allow which certificate? --- [JavaScript Error: "…

I can confirm that behaviour. When the tag selector is called and hidden again, it does get better although it is still slow. This behaviour is new since upgrading to 3 beta.
-
Great! Thank you, Simon. I can indeed confirm the behavior you are describing.
-
Thank you. I had tried that before (and tried it just now), but there seems to be no effect. The behavior hasn't changed. I can change window settings but after restarting FF several times the settings are reset to default. Shouldn't my localstore…

And there is another bug that might be connected to the above-mentioned behavior: Only sometimes is it possible to change the column width in the middle pane. Most of the times it doesn't work.
-
Same here.
-
Thanks!
-
Again, same for me here. (Locale is German, OS is Ubuntu 10.10, just in case it matters).

Yes, deleting localstore.rdf worked. Great! Thank you.

Once the buttons are gone resizing doesn't help. But when I let the zotero panel use relatively ample space in my FF window (as far as this is possible on a 15'' screen) the buttons don't go away in the first place. So it really is a matter of scree…

Thanks. Looking forward to 2.1b3.

Having upgraded to 2.0.2 I can't reproduce the problem any longer (though I have some problems with Firefox aborting the restart process, probably due to my automatically deleting the session data on every exit). In the changelog I see the problem i…

Thanks for your answer, sean. I'm glad to here there will be progress in 2.0 final. Currently, on my system there definitely are differences in localization. For example, under Windows "Short title" is correctly translated ("Kurztitel"), under Linux…

noksagt, thank you for the hint. I have been trying to play around with MODS a bit and I don't see how it could work. JabRef's MODS exporter is not sufficient - but that could be fixed by some searching/replacing. Zotero doesn't even correctly i…

Thank you, Dan, that solved my problem. No error on startup even with a missing (i.e. renamed) translators.zip file. Amazing how fast and responsive this forum is.
-
Thank you for your answer, Tjowens. This is really a minor problem and Zotero performance should hardly be affected. It is just that my USB 1.1 connection takes quite a while to write all 273 translator files on my USB disk. I tried to disable the…

Oh, of course. I knew I could do that but it never occurred to me that I could use that function in order to manage different databases. It's not quite the same as a "File/Open"-dialogue but it works. Thanks a lot!

Wouldn't importing from Scrapbook be a decent workaround? Import from Scrapbook has been discussed (http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/145/) but AFAIK nothing has happened so far. Scrapbook can effectively delete unwanted items on a page.
-
Has anything happened since this discussion? Importing from Scrapbook would be a great feature. Of course you can just open a scrapbook item and save it as a snapshotz in zotero, but that doesn't import the metadata. Any ideas?

I had the same problem using Endnote 5. Probably the problem is that Zotero uses Unicode whereas Endnote 5 doesn't. My workaround was - replace every Umlaut with some unique letter combination (eg. "u#" for "ü") in Endnote - export - open the …
