Sure, here you go. Sorry, I didn't know I should do this so thanks for the hint. D638167093

Thanks for the tip. So I would take your CSL and use your header inside the example you provided? (https://gist.githubusercontent.com/POBrien333/ffec3f80412392bf0891b252b697184b/raw/b0d34b6f0df2f6487fe984dea6f198f3f5c24816/short-style.csl) Then I w…

Got Zotpress working! Maybe my style link was just too long. Now, I've hosted it here: https://monitoringconsumption.com/mediaconsumption.csl I added this URL as a new style directly in the Zotpress options. Adding style to the shortcode was not ne…

Haven't gotten this working yet, but Katie the Zotpress developer has written one reply to my other forum post: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/externally-hosted-style/

@damnation do you understand the guidelines here as they apply to the CSL file? Does your file fill these requirements? https://wordpress.org/support/topic/workaround-for-using-non-csl-styles-with-shortcode/ I will verify that I’m using the Zotpr…

@damnation, thanks a lot for preparing this style! However, I'm not sure that I'm using Zotpress correctly. Using this short code doesn't seem to have any effect. In the default styles, I tried pasting this URL also, but then no style is loaded. [z…

Done editing above. I see editing is possible, but not deleting? It would be nice to be able to delete posts that are no longer relevant.

Yes, these are mainly newspaper articles. There are also some TV and radio broadcasts. There will be a few scientific articles. It should be optimized for newspaper articles if you need to choose one

@damnation, sorry, I think I missed some of your questions before because I posted nearly at the same moment. I'm interested in the bibliography only. I assume you mean in-text citations when you say footnotes? The formatting that I'm asking you ab…

@damnation, that would be great. The brackets are only to make it easier to read. OK, here's an example. If this is not sufficiently specified, please let me know and I can adapt it. Current format: Lastname, Firstname. “Article Title” NewspaperNam…

@bwiernik, that's really great. I've done a test now in which the August block at the top uses your style guide. All others use Chicago as the default. Here's the shortcode for the August block: [zotpress tag="CH_HL_2020_08" sortby="date" order="de…

That's great to know for in-text citations. I will definitely use this at some point. For now, my main concern is with the bibliography. Here's the page where I'm using this: https://monitoringconsumption.com/media-coverage/ Based on this, you can…

Thanks for the tip. I could edit, but I suppose that wouldn't help me because I can only use styles in https://www.zotero.org/styles with the WordPress plugin. Has anyone tried the Zotpress plugin? Is there a way to use a custom style?

Wow, what an impressive tool: https://editor.citationstyles.org/searchByExample/ However, I can't find any at all that start with the journal title. Can someone give it a try?

I can understand that each detail view might show the date as it was entered even if it's stored as DD.MM.YYYY in the database. But is there really no way to view a list of my entire library and see them all in the same date format? Otherwise, when…

I guess I just need to expand the items and delete the PDFs inside? Sometimes I have only the PDF but the name of the PDF is enough to help me figure out the exact reference. Can I keep this somehow also and eliminate the broken links?
-
Thanks but could I still keep the items and just delete the attachments? How would I do this?

If a similar thread already exists, could someone please point us to it? regards, bobby
