• I finally figured that out. Now i have nuked by entire library and will try to recreate it. If I leave Use Profile Directory checked and the link attachments box unchecked, when I import a pdf into zotero it should store a copy of the file, correct?

• Adam, The only real hassle of the manual redo is that Zotero refreshes or reformats the whole doc every time I do one of these 'edit citation' moves. Any way to turn that off, what might be called an auto-update feature? Thanks, Rob

• yep, it was checked. i can fix the problem by editing the citation in word, then it re-numbers in text. But refresh would not do that on its own. So as far as I can tell it is OK for now as there is a way to fix it.

• I've been using the plug-in. May be I am missing something. I am in WORD, want to insert reference. S you have to go to Zotero, find the reference, go back to Word and the insert is done. That is the same distraction the other user was writing about…
