I agree this would be useful. And yes, I create a folder of what I think should go in my papers, but what ultimately goes into them is something entirely different. Being able to "prune" a folder based upon what goes into the document or creat…

Understood. Thank you for investigating -- I really appreciate. Quick question that could help this: Could I seed the new computer, PCB, with PCA's zotero database and file structure? Or would that create a bunch of problems when I tried…

Yes. Those items exist on PCA. The tag above is not associated with them on PCA or any other file --- except online.

Note, I also just deleted my trash, which I had never done before. I then synched and closed my browser. Upon checking my library online, the bogus, imported tags remain. My local Zotero remains clean - only my tags exist.

PCA - original computer PCB - new computer On PCA with "Display All Tags" it shows my curated tags, no bad or imported tags. No imported tags show up on autocomplete either. And no imported tags are associated with them on computer A. A…

I have the very same issue. I painstakingly removed bogus tags that were imported because I had the "automatically tag items" setting set when I was importing citations. I unchecked that setting and further imported citations no longer brought in bo…

Ok, I figured out what the issue is. You need to have the following setting checked on the general tab under preferences: Automatically take snapshots when creating items from webpages. If this setting it NOT checked, you will get …

I'm using Zotero 2.1.10 in Firefox 7.0.1 in windows 7 64 bit. I just repeated this experiment. When I press "create new item from current page" or by dragging, I get an item type of "web page" with the following title: how_large_are_retu…

This is an example: http://homes.chass.utoronto.ca/~oreo/research/compositions/how_large_are_returns_to_schooling.pdf as far as I can tell, it is not framed. There are many others, similar to this one, that have caused me issues recently …

Building on some of the previous comments, when I snapshot a pdf (only the pdf is viewable in the webpage) or even if I drag the pdf manually to a non-existing citation -- it creates a "webpage" item type. This behavior is new -- as older vers…

+ 1 Yes - please add the ability to create Parent items for PDF that have no metadata. Not having this feature is a huge impediment to progress.

Hi Adam, In response to your comment above. a) Deleting at the end of the editing process is not so simple. Especially when you have collaborators or reviewers. You may "think" it's done, but it really isn't. Not to mention, repurposing …

I agree with many of the previous posters. I'd also like to toggle off DOI/URL stuff when using the MS word bibliography. For instance in this citation: Glaeser, E.L., Kerr, W.R. & Ponzetto, G.A., 2009. Clusters of Entrepreneurs…

Thanks Adam -- I don't know how I missed that! Saves a ton of time!

The problem I have is that some online providers like EBSCO host occasionally import titles in ALL CAPS. It would be nice to have a sentence case button next to the Title Field to convert ALL CAPS -> Sentence case Obviously, I would ha…

I have the same issue. Getting rid of Gesso fixes it. However, given that Gesso is needed to use firefox in tablet mode it would be great if they could collaborate together. I submitted my error data. Hopefully that will help.
