Ahhh!!! Too bad it's not available.... :( Hopefully it's still on the roadmap! Thanks for responding so quickly.

Aha, thank you @adamsmith!

Thank you @adomasven! Really hope this will be fixed very soon.

Same problem here on GNU/Linux running Zotero 5.0.78. When I try to create or edit tags, Zotero hangs and CPU usage goes through the roof! I've submitted Debug ID D1270065628 with bug report ID 992277220. This is a complete dealbreaker/breaking b…

OK... If resetting my profile is the only solution I will consider it. Thanks for your help!! I really appreciate your fast response.

OK, I followed your instructions and copied the console debug output here: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/9563357ba835dc936d5c0c9e233d1bd5 Hope this provides some clues!

I just tried disabling all other addons, unfortunately that didn't make a difference...

Aha, it worked in a new, clean profile. Here is my list of addons in my default profile: http://imgur.com/a/mNSpi I haven't installed any new addons recently, and the Zotero Connector addon has been working until recently so I'm not sure what happe…

Thanks @adomasven for the super quick response! I just re-installed it from scratch, but not only is the preferences page blank, but the Zotero button is missing from the Customize mode page as well!!... Here is a screenshot: http://imgur.com/a/LUQ…

Thanks Dan for your quick response. The only other things I have installed is the LibreOffice connector. I closed the tag selector on the bottom left, and the performance is much better. The wait is only ~1.5 secs max (instead of 5!). Why is the t…

Unfortunately I don't know what I'm doing :) so can't try the development build at the moment. But I'm glad a e10s compatible Firefox addon is coming soon, since the performance of the current Zotero extension is terrible! Thank you for the update,…

Thanks all for the update! Is there a timeline and roadmap for all of this (the new standalone and Electron-based-multiprocess-friendly-addon for Firefox) posted somewhere? I'd like to plan for this transition as best as I can! Are we talking about…

Thanks @noksagt for your quick reply. Sad to hear there's no official solution yet! I'll try to use a read-it-later utility for now, but does anyone have recommendations/experience with using them with Zotero? And which one is better?? BTW I ru…

@aurimas: I tried it just now, and it does seem to be working for me. Perhaps it is an issue with the BibTeX export plugins for Zotero? In any case I'll edit my original post to clarify. Thanks for pointing this out!
-
Ah I see. This is much easier than I thought. Thank you so much! I will report back in case there are any issues.

I see, thanks for your answer! OK I will export my items to from Zotero before using them in Markdown for now. Hopefully one day lightweight markup languages like this can access Zotero directly! Does this depend more on making changes on Zoter…

Ah yes, disabling the experimental/unstable features worked! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I see. Yeah I guess there aren't great alternatives available. But I still hope someday someone might figure out a good solution. :) Thanks for the tip about using a separate Google account, I might give it a try.

Wow, that looks amazing. Thanks!

Sounds good. Thanks for the quick response! :)

Thanks for the info! I am very glad that Zotero 2.1 will be released at around the same time as Firefox 4. Yes if anyone can say anything about word processor plugin compatibility with 64-bit Firefox 4 that would be great. Also, what about…
