• Have experimented a bit more, and it seems the "ed. " is only inserted on any citation AFTER the first citation i.e. "(Herbert & Hollis, 2000) and (eds. Herbert & Hollis, 2000)" - now I am really puzzled! Please help!

• Update: Thank you for all your comments. In the end I used Word 2007 under Windows, where every runs much faster - only 1-2 seconds to update fields etc. After repeated searches, it appears that the Mac Office API is a lot slower, and nobody so far …
