Yes I may have encountered that...however I just forgot 1 citation and instead of being added as say number 78...it was added to the end of the bibliography as number 116. The rest of the citations seem to be in the correct order. At this stage…

I discovered a solution which does not involve stipping the Zotero codes. For the stray citations in Italics (about 5 out of 120) in my .odt document 1. I clicked "Default formatting" in Openoffice over the citation. This meant the citation wa…

Seriously pee'd off at this stage...this problem is really difficult to solve, because even if I change all of my text into Italics and back again, it solves the problem for about 1 minute before the citation decides to go back into Italics. Th…

I have followed those instructions, clicked reset styles, then reloaded the styles. This time I tried the Journal of American Chemical Society and that too has the same problem of inserting ? So I am getting 1?5 with the three different chemist…

Ok I managed to get rid of the undefined again by clicking edit citation. So citations are now [1,2] However for citations [1-5] etc it is coming up as [1?5]. I do not know how to get replace the ? for -

It seems to be working fine now. I installed the latest Angewandte Chemie (provisional) style. I am not sure if this is what fixed it, but Im very happy my citations now look normal.

Yes,however it now enters a question mark instead of "undefined". I have installed updates for different Chemistry styles. For instance Royal Society of Chemistry now appears as "1?5"

Oh and the problem is: When I enter multiple source citations, instead of having [1],[2],[3] or [1]-[14] I get [1]undefined[2]undefined[3] etc.

Thanks. I had been working on seperate chapters in seperate documents, but recently combined them. The reason I didnt notice before was because I was saving my Zotero Openoffice document in .doc format...which meant I could have multiple Biblio…

Thanks, this seems to have solved my problem. I can open and close the document as I wish and edit the citations or continue from where I left off.

It is so frustrating as I have a completely random citation number system. I am current looking at it.... It is 1 - 4 ok, then another day I worked on the file, so it starts off at 1 again....so 1 - 7 and then the day after 1 - 5 etc. What…
