• The files seem to have been in my trash. Possibly my mistake. Unclear whether they can be restored back to their original folders, but at least I can get them back into the library.

• Okay. I'm not sure why, but I changed the location of the Zotero library from the Firefox directory to my documents folder. When I restarted Firefox, Zotero began syncing and made it all the way to the end. Problem solved?

• Here it is: D1530204382 I tried to retrieve metadata for 3 different PDFs. I didn't let them hang very long, but trust me: they'll hang as long as I let them.

• I tried to use the "report errors" function after being unable to retrieve PDF metadata, but it didn't show as an error. To repeat: I'm not getting an error code at all; the progress bar just hang indefinitely.
