I agree that Zotero is nearing the point where it might serve as a personal knowledge manager for a lot of people. But like brianjd, I am enjoying learning and using Obsidian. I see the two platforms as fulfilling different goals: Zotero as a refere…

It appears that there's still a way to format text as a block quote in the text formatting dropdown (the Aa icon). It's the last choice on the list. It's not really indenting, but I use it to flag direct quotes if there's any ambiguity.

I just updated to 6.0 and installed the iOS app. I am very excited. Thank you so much for this version. The features are incredible, including the built-in PDF annotation and the ability to export notes to markdown, which is a huge new feature for m…

All, Sorry to waste anyone's time. Here was the problem, in case this happens to anyone else. For some reason Firefox was running in Windows XP compatibility mode under Windows 7. Once I turned off compatibility mode for Firefox, I didn't get t…

I just had the same error, and just posted on it. I now noticed this. Sorry to double post, or to create confusion. Error report no: 824001144

I am emailing the RIS file. I don't really know which record is problematic, or what my cue would be, although I am certainly willing to learn.

I have the same problem with a fairly simple and small library. Report ID 930364919. It imports one record, then gives the error.

I am getting a similar error and cannot find its resolution on the forum or in support. Zotero tells me I need to manually resolve 158 conflicts--the same 158 conflicts that come up every time. It's really maddening--it takes a long time to select w…

Dan, I've not verified the problem is related to abstracts. And the error report I can generate seems remarkably consistent. I will say that Firefox is hanging more than usual, although I figured out that if I launch and then launch Zotero, and…

Dan, I'm also here because I get the spinning wheel of .... well, not death (Firefox is working just fine as I type this) but of not really doing anything in the last 12 hours or so (I have about 4700 records). At least I am not getting any mor…

Dan--Thanks. Here's the error number/bug report number 1909376589

I am having the same error--and this feature is crucial for me, since I use lots of computers. Alas, I am an intermediate user who cannot devote a lot of time and tweaking to make this work. Any guidance is appreciated to make this work without a lo…

OK, I found a solution--a bit kludgy, but not unmanageable since I only have 5500 records: 1. Set up custom groups in Endnote titled 1-500, 501-1000, 1001-1500, etc. This keeps each file to a relatively small size. 2 Search for records in …

Fair enough. I will be trying this.

And BibTex is no good either. I really want to transition to Zotero but I don't see the benefit given (1) its failure to work properly with track changes in Word, and (2) its inability to give me anything like a proper transition path from endnote …

Same problem here. I have a ~4800 item Endnote file, exported to RIS, attempt to import and it hangs right at the get-go. Might have something to do with Firefox not being the stable browser that all the Microsoft haters think. Will try to do the sa…
