Zotfile is great - but is it standard behaviour that it makes a new note with the extracted annotations every time you run "extract notations"? I would expect the new note to overwrite the old one?

+ to this one. I work with a lot of grey literature pdfs where there will never be any metadata for it. Creating a parent item (starting with the same name as the pdf by default) would be a big boon.
