I saw that Papership got an update about a week ago: 'bug fixes' I think. I haven't tested it since then. Has anyone else checked to see if it working again?

I've seen a few forums move to Discourse. While I didn't like the change initially, I must admit that it is leaps and bounds better than these current forums, especially for projects such as this. Subforums, tags, etc. All would help greatly in iden…

Not sure what's going on, but just noticed that a bunch of files were uploaded yesterday. Instead of 643 MB there is now 791 MB and 1,071 attachments (out of 1,491 items with attachments) have been uploaded.

I have checked that with the zotero folder on 4shared. I only have one 4shared account - I created it specifically to test this because files also weren't being uploaded when using box.com. I've noticed that three files were uploaded today; those w…

I'm not sure why that is, but it most definitely is not in the 4shared folder. It's been at 643.1 MB since my first upload (about a week ago). Even though Zotero has been open and syncing since then, it hasn't uploaded anything else to 4shared.

Fair enough. Your explanation makes sense, but for some reason my thinking is that the sorting should organize the single authors before the multiple authors. Anyway, it's much better after having removed whitespace; I suspect within a week or two I…

It's definitely better now (5.0.27), but still a bit inconsistent: Chan Chan et al. Chan Chan et al. Chan et al. Chandler So it seems now it sorts primarily by the name of the first author, which is fine in most cases, but still causes some confus…

The first (alphabetical) item in my library: NP87TETL. Checking the folder on 4shared, it seems that it has uploaded everything starting with numbers through some of the As. First: 2ARE2RJZ Last: A45SSIAR

Thanks!

Reset File Sync then synced to 4shared. Debug ID: D1301064083 Thanks!

Here are a few of the names that seem to have problems. Again, it's only Chinese names in Pinyin that seem to have problems. Other names are sorted correctly. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9hshazkhl8p4pkx/AAAD-EilYp6p5zNrMd9hLUN-a?dl=0 So for the fir…

Nothing? This is also happening with the names Ho, Lo, and others. They aren't consistently sorted in alphabetical order, and I can't find a reason why they shouldn't be.

Found this out recently as well, unfortunately. It appears Papership is abandoned/dead. I emailed their support over a month ago asking about setting up Box (Papership asks for a Box username, but the website uses email and gives no username) and ne…

Is there any plan to implement this feature in Zotero 5? I'm using the beta but it still only underlines misspellings without giving suggestions on right-click. Can this be done in the future?
-
I finally managed to make it work. Had to exit Word, start Zotero as administrator, reinstall Word plugin, then restart both, highlight the references, and remove the field codes (I guess that's what you mean by "the codes have been used"). After th…

Thanks for the link. Tried the autoformat option, but it didn't work for the Zotero-generated references.

This is the one feature I would love to see. A feature I miss from Endnote. Please add a 5-star rating system. I'm using tags now, but you can't view tags directly in a column, and using those tags uses up my 6 colored tags.
-
This has been discussed many times before (check the forums). I believe such a feature will be coming in the future, but for now you can use tags/colored tags. Not a great solution, since we only get six colored tags, but it works for now.

adamsmith, Right, I just prefer to keep things as they originally are. The original citation (or the most original I can find, anyway, it was listed as "de Kadt", so I feel that it should probably stay that way, although it's a minor issue at b…

Just experienced this myself. Working with this paper in APA 6th: de Kadt, E. (1992). Politeness phenomena in South African black English. Pragmatics and Language Learning, 3, 103–116. Author field in Zotero is "de Kadt" for last name and …

Sounds good. I look forward to its implementation. I do carefully review all my references, but its not uncommon for me to stumble upon a journal and then import 20 or even 50+ new articles that I'm looking forward to reading. With large-scale imp…

adamsmith, Right. The "needs review" is applied when it appears that fields are missing (hence why I have a saved search for journals that do not have a DOI or URL) and/or Mendeley is unsure about the quality/accuracy of the data. I think it wo…

aurimas, I agree with you - tags fulfill this purpose. I have a tag for "must read", but the Mendeley "needs review" category is applied automatically, not manually. It searches out the new references for those with missing/incorrect informatio…

I second both of these requests. Having author's first initials, or all initials, in addition to second authors' names and initials would be very helpful. I have my Zotero setup with Creator - Year - Title, and generally scroll down until I fin…
