Interesting. I'm on the latest Zotero stand-alone for OS X (5.0.34.4) and dragging a link (which is embedded in a page) from chrome to Zotero doesn't work...
-
Many thanks - that's helpful! When you say "you can either drag the link to Zotero" you mean from the address bar? That does work, as dos the button of course. It's not possible to drag a link from a page to Zotero, right? (e.g. as if you were drag…

Thanks! I guess they can be formatted as reports, no problems. Similarly, TLMs can be formatted as books. Perhaps what I'm really after is an extra field, that allows me to set the type or subtype, according to how we classify materials. That would …
-
Hi all, I had a look a the introduction to this thread. I guess these are basic suggestions, and may conflict with the idea of 'types' representing 'formatting', but there goes. (1) We deal a lot in "white papers". These aren't reports, nor are t…

Yes - it does, so that offers work-around. There are also some items appearing that I deleted from "My Pub". How do I get those to be recognised?
-
The online library doesn't have a "My Pubs" section - correct? E.g. this conference paper https://www.zotero.org/bjohas/items/collectionKey/27777CAH/itemKey/J8RPM3PC is in my online library, and in Zotero desktop, it's in the "My Pubs" collection,…
-
@LiborA - thanks for sharing your site. It's the list of publications on your front pages, that's produced with the API, right?
-
Hi both, The "My Pubs" feature doesn't show all the entries in my publications list. For example, I have several conference papers in the "My Pubs" section in Zotero desktop, but only one on my profile. https://www.zotero.org/bjohas (I've re-sync…

I've tried this here https://www.zotero.org/bjohas - but it only displays a subset of papers (perhaps the most recent ones)?
-
It's great that you are working in this - it would be amazing to have mobile integration for Android! Did you post the code on github? It seems so, but this link doesn't work https://github.com/OniDaito/ZotDroid/releases ... Thanks!
-
Thats great, thank you!
-
Very interesting. We're straying off topic here, but ... (1) how do you get the publication feed on your Zotero profile here http://zotero.org/bwiernik ? (2) For your website, e.g. https://wiernik.org/reprints or /downloads, do you use the Zoter…

Thanks! We may re-host some OA articles to have a collection on our server - I guess it's not possible to attach 2 URLs, e.g. the primary URL and a backup URL or similar? Also, would it be feasible to have a "mixed group type", e.g. where admins …

Many thanks! I guess I think of conference proceedings / journal issues as separate from books. Journal issues form a sequence. However, the book type does have a series number / volume, so I guess it does fit! Many thanks!

Hi aurimas, hi all, I was just thinking about this again - there are other circumstances where I use this workflow. E.g. reviewing items in a collection, then doing a library-wide search to add something to the collection, and then back to the …

Follow up question - does anybody have a idea as to what damage Preview causes when annotating documents, and how to revert this? Removing highlights, or building a search index in Acrobat Pro, doesn't work. Any thoughts? Bjoern

Ok, fair enough :)
-
Thanks - yes, that's interesting. I'm using standalone though... Pre-import duplicate checking is also coming in a future version, isn't it?
-
Dan, many thanks! I've updated the code on github accordingly. There are two versions: one with removeAttribute and one without. Without removeAttribute, the grippy stays until the width is adjusted, and then Zotero automatically removes i…

Hi Dan, I just noticed that if you use the above javascript commands, the collapsed left/right panes don't have grippies. What would I need to do to get the panes to collapse and show a grippy? Bjoern

Thanks! Glad it's of use!
-
See also here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/46016/views-or-viewhide-certain-panes/. Various additions made to Zutilo!

Have added shortcuts to Zutilo to hide/show collections/item pane. (c.f. github https://github.com/bjohas/Zutilo, https://github.com/willsALMANJ/Zutilo).

Thanks!!

Is there a way of hiding the left/right pane with javascript, that could be called via zutilo? I've previously tried that, but I couldn't quite get it right. (I think I tried to hide "zotero-items-tree" https://github.com/zotero/zotero/blob/4.0…
-
Aaaah, ok. Yes, when closed the grippy is there.
-
Sorry, don't quite follow. Where do I click? So far, I'm click-dragging on the borders between left/middle and middle/right panes... can't see 'hide' button, or elsewhere to click...
-
Thanks! I should have mentioned that I use Zotero stand alone / OS X, in case that's different. Yes, you can adjust pane widths, but it's extremely fiddly. I.e. the area where the mouse pointer turns to the "adjust" pointer is very narrow. I ca…

Just to add to this. According to mailing list, hiding the right hand panel is coming in 4.1. However, it would be really useful to also be able to hide the left hand panel. Use case: When reviewing papers on certain topics, I often work with …

Hi Adam, How would you do that with Zotero stand alone? Also, is there a way to add a search from a file (that I could email to somebody), rather than having to put the XML online? Bjoern
