Here is how I've finally solved the issue. I've quit all groups. I deactivated automatic sync. I created a new Zotero account on the Web. I closed Zotero. I check the integrity of the database and it contained errors. So I di…

I've left the groups, and have tried a sync. I get the following bug ID: 250577915.

Should I simply make sure I have a back up folder of my groups in my local database, then delete all my groups (I'm owner-admin in all groups), then sync my local database, and finally recreate the groups?
-
Keep the local versions, since in the conflict resolution window, there is no server version.

Here is one option that I have tried: - Make a backup copy of my ODT file. - On Zotero style repository http://www.zotero.org/styles/>, install the BibTex generic style Import from clipboard. - The sub-folder (collection) "My ODT" now contains…

@adamsmith I'm not a programmer myself... I'm editing my Ph. D. thesis so that it is conform to my university style. I have hundreds of references to check and edit, and a search/replace function would have been essential to this task. The Execute…

Creators have their own syntax via getCreator (you can see it used in some of the examples further up on that page) What page is it? Can you give me the link?

Here is what I've tried: var fieldName = "creators.firstName"; var oldValue = "Charles S."; var newValue = "Charles S"; var fieldID = Zotero.ItemFields.getID(fieldName); var s = new Zotero.Search; s.addCondition(fieldName, 'is', oldValue); var id…

Hi, I need to search author names such as "Charles S Prebish", without a dot after middle initial, and replace with "Charles S. Prebish" with a dot after middle initiale. What fieldName should I enter in the Javascript API? var fieldNa…

Thank you for your time. It will be interesting to see how Zotero will develop in the future, and how, hopefully, it will be able to deal with documents that contain "a lot" of references. How do we mark this discussion as closed?

Hi Adam, Do you see, in the near future, a possible change that would positively affect the speed at which Zotero handles documents which include a large number of references? I would have prefered not to split my document into a master d…

Simon, Quotation: "I think I may have an optimization that will speed this up a little bit, but probably not by more than a factor of two, which is still going to be slow. The fields are taking 10 seconds to retrieve, and I don't think I can …

Here's the answer to my question: in a master document which contains subdocuments (the subdocuments contain the Zotero references), one has to add a text section and generate the bibliography in this section. The bibliography itself cannot be a sep…

Hi Simon, Using OOo, I have created a master document and divided my main file into subdocuments. Now, when I edit a subdocument within the master document, and I insert a new Zotero citation, it is much much more faster than before. However, t…

I am experiencing a similar problem and have started a discussion: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/22622/inserting-citations-is-very-slow/ I have tried most or all of the solutions posted in discussions concerning Zotero being slow, and hav…

I can't tell how many citations there are in my OOo file, but a glimpse at the OOo navigator leaves me guessing that there are about 600. I did not build the reference list (bibliography) yet, as I thought that this could help to free some cpu …

OOo 3.3.0 Ubuntu 11.10 959 items (first level), I did not count the attached images, files, etc. I deleted all items in the trash. Still it took 27 sec to insert a citation with a reference that was already included in a previous citation.
