I just received the %h/%p message when accessing https://www.oed.com/ However, I realize now that I'm actually using http://proxy.library.mcgill.ca/login?url=http://www.oed.com as the link, which I'd hardwired into a personal Web page. That may exp…

The message has been sporadic and I haven't managed to reproduce it. I gather that it's not a good idea to keep Debug Output Logging enabled for long periods, so if and when I see the message again I'll turn on logging and try to replicate it.

Ah. This is one of the few citations I have that contains a decorated character (ç). Thanks again.

In this document I do in fact have 'Next Style' set so the paragraph styles alternate. Based on your tip, I discovered that I can insert this particular citation in the document by not inserting it at the end of its paragraph :-) Thanks! The proble…

Sorry. I wrote the e-mail message to Zotero support right after starting this thread but apparently I didn't send it. I've just done it now. I also apologize for forgetting to say at the start that I'd tried inserting the citation into a blank docu…

I'd already done that, hopefully correctly. Thanks.
-
I added it to my Zotero using the DOI. It works fine if I insert it into a new document.

This is under Windows 10 with LibreOffice Version 7.3.2.2 (x64). I tried multiple citation styles but it made no difference. - Robert

I have disabled file syncing. I don't use the attached PDF files at all, and in fact I forget they're there. I collect PDF files with a separate workflow that dates from before Zotero. Thanks for the tip about using a saved search. I'd seen that bu…

I also want to delete all of the PDF files that are attached to my references. I hit the limit of 300 MB because I was accidentally syncing files. I've now deleted enough things one at a time that I'm below the limit, but I'd like to get rid of all …

The reference should also include the version number. Would that use the Edition field? When Zotero captures the information for a dataset at borealisdata.ca, it uses Type = Journal Article and puts Publisher and Type in the Extra field. Would it b…

FWIW, we've discovered that we can cause the unhighlighted citations to be highlighted by doing Clear Direct Formatting. There's no visible direct formatting and we don't yet know why this happens sometimes.

Although our dataset has a DOI, I wanted the reference to include the URL, because it includes the name of the repository (Borealis) and the DOI doesn't. (The DOI is embedded in the URL.) My Extra field included 'Publisher: Borealis' as well as 'Ty…

I'm afraid I don't know. The author instructions for JARO just say '... should include information on where data supporting the results reported in the article can be found (including, where applicable, hyperlinks to publicly archived datasets ...' …

Aha! The Extra field contained 'Type: dataset', overriding the 'Web Page' setting. The Springer style (which the 'Journal of the Association for Research in Otolaryngology' style is based on) doesn't handle datasets, while the APA style does. Thank…

Thank you again for all the information.

Thank you for another quick reply! I asked about .doc because of the inconsistency of the wording and because I prefer to use .doc when sharing with Word users, since I have the impression that overall LO-Word compatibility is better with .doc than…

In Zotero I went to Edit > Preferences > Cite > Word Processors and saw 'The LibreOffice add-in is not currently installed'. I don't understand how this could be when the Zotero buttons were being displayed in LibreOffice. In any case, I cl…

Right. Thank you.

Interesting, thank you. I've never really made use of group libraries, although my students have created a couple. I assume that references from your lab would also have duplicate entries in the main library?
-
Thank you to both of you, this opens up two possibilities that I wasn't aware of.

I'd want to bold the authors. I'm using a modified version of American Psychological Association 6th Edition. I could probably figure out how to bold the authors in that style, but I don't understand how that would help, since I only want to bold th…
-
Thanks for your reply! I'd need to bold only some of the references. There are currently about 100 references in the document, and I'd want to bold about 40 of them. The tags didn't appear in your message but I think you're suggesting that I add 'b'…

You're right, I didn't try the last step, using Word, which I don't have convenient access to and which I'd rather not have to rely on. In the zotero-libreoffice-integration thread on issue 39, users tstenner and adomasven seem to be people who migh…

Am I correct in inferring (based on a sample of 1) that the text:reference-mark-start and text:reference-mark-end tags will always have exactly the same contents? Presumably this is for error detection?

Thanks, Adam, for all the quick and informative responses. If the LO and Word Zotero plugins use the same CSL JSON, it's a shame that LO can't save a document in .docx format with the CSL JSON intact. In trying to get more insight, I found https://g…

Is the CSL JSON in the .odt file essentially the same as what's in the Fields in the .docx file? Are Word Fields not the same as the Bookmarks that LO can use for sharing with Word?
-
Can you provide some information about how the bibliographic data are stored within the .odt file? I tried looking at the XML but it wasn't immediately obvious to me what was going on.
-
I tried that tool but it didn't find any references in my .odt file. The ref-extractor page says it only works for .docx files so I tried saving my .odt file as .docx (before and after changing from ReferenceMarks to Bookmarks) but the tool still di…

Was this export feature ever implemented?
