• Ok. Figured out my problem. I'm sharing this google doc and someone had started to use F1000. Once I removed the F1000 citations I was able to add the Zotero citations and biblio without the long updating wait.

• Update, needed to correct the path in the desktop file. Now all is good.

• Many thanks. I also found that purging unity-scope-zotero fixed this problem for Zotero 5.0.47 and Ubuntu 17.10.
