Use NeoOffice 3.3 patch 9 on both OSX 10.8.4 and also on 10.6.8 together with Zotero's latest Plug-in (3.5.6). Cannot confirm any issues; on both of the OS the plug-in performs fine. You might want to update NeoOffice to the latest patch (9).

@adamsmith: Thanks for helping with the delimiters. I've managed to change them in my style and get rid of the commas when author supression is active. Couldn't find the respective parameter for point (2) though – semicolon (as in Chicago) instead o…

Thanks for this. What you describe can happen for poorly coded styles.. You're quite right. Since I've cobbled mine together myself (it validates) please let me know the likely parameter to improve. Also, I have to backtrack from my previous statem…

Have been using this for a while and enjoy the reliabilty of it. Some questions: 1) Author-supression after putting a minus in front of the author: The comma is left standing in the author-field. (I tried this in a few styles APA 6, DIN-1502 etc.) …

Just tried all of my Zotero shortcuts: concur with OP about Cmd-shift-A. All the others seem to work fine. Using Zotero for FF (OS 10.8.4 / FF 22, Zot 4.0.8r11413).

And another one: nvAlt – a fork of Notational Velocity already inlcuded, both great apps – has the following url scheme: nvalt://

Could we add the messages://.. parameter for links to individual Apple Mail messages?
-
Very happy to see this implemented after all! It works a treat. @adamsmith: thanks for your efforts on this and elsewhere.

This is great – hats off to the volunteers and their offering of skills and time. A long harboured wish is fulfilled – and provided with a great documentation to boot! Gave the topic a new thread over at Scrivener and let the Nisus folks know. You g…

You don't state which OS you are on. If you happen to be on a Mac: just use the US-extended keyboard (beside whatever your native keyboard may be). You can create the macron above your a ("ā") and all necessary accents for latinised Pali and Sanskri…

Look for this post to find out the details. I've set up something similar using just the 5 vowels of the English alphabet since most of my tags contain a vowel. If you have tags with no vowels, you'll either need to go for the whole of your letter …

Just tried Chrome and Safari with Standalone, then tried with the FF-Plug-in. Everything worked fine for the above URL from all three angles. This is on the Mac.

Less elegant workaround if you want to write in Scrivener and have a final document with bibliographical footnotes and with "live links" to your Zotero database: 1) Create a "Bibliography.doc" in Word/Open-/Libre-Neo-Office 2) Write in Scrivener wi…

Keyboard shortcuts (at least on the Mac) seem to be working fine. Cmd-Shift-O for a new note seems easy enough for me. What I would appreciate, though, is a refinement for this: currently any new note is created as a standalone note, irrespective o…

Toward a future whitelist of protocols for the existing "Attach link to URI" menu option: PersonalBrain (brain://) DevonThink (x-devonthink-item://) Notational Velocity (nv:// MyLife Organized (mlo:// Evernote (evernote:///view/) OneNote (onenote:/…

The kindle links (kindle://book/?action=...) seem to work from Zotero notes – at least on the Mac. I can get them to open the Kindle-Mac-App from a note in Z with the desired book at the location indicated with the help of the "Open URL"-service (an…

3.0 is out of Beta, the "Attach link to URI" still doesn’t seem to work with local links. If I understand the status of Trac tricket #1563 and the dev discussions here then ajlyon's patch is implemented and working well (at least with non-local lin…

I notice that in the latest Beta (RC1) the "Attach link to URI" option produces links if I paste a straight URL, but doesn't if I try with a local link to my DevonThink database (x-devonthink-item://...) or to any Notational Velocity files (nv://fin…

Re: Skim. I checked again and tested with a few files. Glad to report that it works as you say when the pdf is exported as "with embedded notes". (Must have been the specific pdf I tried on the first account.) The output with the pdf.js extraction …

Extraction of PDF annotation and highlight into Zotero is amazing. Both work well from Acrobat and Preview (I'm on Mac); the in-text citation for the highlighted snippets is particularly neat. This is a huge help. Two questions: I have many PDFs wi…

@David Boyda: You may want to have a look at this thread in the Scrivener forum. There's also something here that may be useful. Scriv and Zotero can be made to work together but be prepared to do some fine-tuning by hand.

Zotero toolbar in Neo is still where you would expect it. (It's called "Add-on - Insert Citation" in the toolbar-options of the View menu). Have a look at Neo Tools/Extras>Extension Manager and remove all traces of Zotero from within Neo, then r…

Zotero and Neo (latest versions) seem to work fine here. (FF 5, OO-Integration 3.5.a2.r9365.) The new Plugin is very responsive; great to have sortable & customziable colums!

Tried using the new "Attach Link to URI" option on the latest trunk with a link to Devonthink (x-devonthink-item://....) No visible results in Z. (Report ID is 1112111812; Debug ID is D951235498). Presume the whitelist is not yet in action.

@hgray: Let us know here if you have something working for Evernote. It may be tweaked easily for other apps on OSX. It would be great to have workable URLs to Zotero items from a whole range of apps.
-
Excellent! Thanks ajlyon for your good work on the papercut front, and Dan for the speedy commit. This is greatly appreciated here.
-
The link possibility holds true not just for Evernote but for Devonthink, OneNote and presumably a few more programs. Still think the easiest way would be for Zotero to allow a manual "Add Link"-option as described in this older thread here.

Item History now works fine with FF 4.01 (Mac) and the very latest 2.1 trunk build (r9406).
-
Excellent. Can confirm that as of r9406 the problem disappears.
-
Nice. Anchoring a collection seems useful. Tried running v.04 independently with FF5 and the last 2.1 trunk build. Nothing much has changed in regard to what I wrote in my last post, though the second screenshot in that post (blank library, displace…
