A workaround is to save your search results and then you can browse on these saved search results an image preview of the attachment by pinning the attachment section. This way you can arrow up or down looking for the image of the file you remember …

Thank you. I tried that before but I couldn't locate where Snap's executable were located so I looked for this again. For anyone interested Snap executables are under: (root)/snap/bin/ so setting Zotero to snap/bin/okular does it.

Hi dstillman Zotero with System Default configured opens the PDFs with Evince. The file manager (Nautilus) opens PDfs with Okular and the file associations configured with "Open With" > Default Application is set up to Okular. I followed that l…

Hi samvimes. Yes, it is configured to: "System Default".
-
In my installation it doesn't expands either. I can barely fit a couple of words there.

Hi Would any of these work on 7.0.8?
-
Hi My search bar is also small, not even the whole: "Title, Creator, Year" shows completely. I looked in Advanced Preferences to modify this and didn't find something related.

I understand it requires a lot of effort but I've learned my lesson not to update software as soon as a new version comes out unless it is an update that patches a security issue or the software is not working anymore. Software updates being recent…

Ok I thought you meant tech support in the forums for Zotero 6, not new versions of Zotero 6 with bug fixes.
-
Ok. That was a short transition support time from 6 to 7. Anyways, thanks for such a great software!
-
Also, regardless if they are snap packages, shouldn't Zotero use the System Default's configuration to open PDFs?
-
Ok thanks, will try to find out how to do it elsewhere then. One more question: Do you recommend using the tarball or deb instead of snap? I don't want it to suddenly update automatically from Zotero 6 to 7.
-
+1, this would be great
-
Thank you very much. It seems to work great. I tested Release 0.6.1 because I have Zotero 6. Newer versions look very good.
-
Don't know if this helps you but CherryTree can export to HTML and PDF, which can be imported to Zotero.
-
@dcartertod Great!! :)
-
Thank you @dcartertod. I'm using it and i like it! This should be listed in the plugins page: https://www.zotero.org/support/plugins

Thanks, but i just tried it on 8 articles and no DOIs were found. Automation may not work always, that's why a manual alternative is needed: pasting DOIs and force metadata recheck.
-
+1 Sometimes on first auto update there's no DOI but you can manually add it later and then force recheck to complete the rest of the metadata.
-
Great workarounds, but it would still be very useful to have the preview of the citation style right there on the item pane in its own tab.

Me too, a five star rating system would be very useful.
