You do not have the current version of the translator. However, the replacements you describe are the ISO-8859-1 encodings for those bytes. Are you sure that whatever program you are using to view the files is using UTF-8 encoding? (If you ar…

As above, that parameter is for a "locator" within a resource & not for the complete extents of that resource. Locators are intentionally formatted with parentheses. You do not need to fill that prompt with a number (at least in the present OO…

Yes, you can either: Add the 'suffix' attribute to whatever 'text' element outputs your date (in many styles, a macro does this & you can add it to the macro or where the macro is used, a'la <text macro="XXX-date-XXX" suffix="."/> …

Obviously, it'd be nice to have the BibTeX translator working too. If you find a small BibTeX file that fails, please provide it.

Are you using the 'pages' field in the right-hand pane of Zotero (where the rest of your metadata resides) or are you using the 'pages' parameter that is part of the OO.o Writer /MS Word integration?
-
If you include the full page range in your zotero database, the page numbers will not be enclosed in parentheses. If you use the "pages" part of the Word/OO.o plugin, that adds a locator to the reference & this will be enclosed in parenthes…

There is no option to disable saving accession numbers. Please give a URL from a site that is not translated as you'd want it to be translated.

Users can modify styles. Presently, they must be comfortable editing XML to do so, though. This is not really "difficult programming," but CSL editors that are more user friendly are certainly desirable. Re derico: Did you look for non-default s…

Sure, or they manually enter the data. If you have access to rich information for the book, just make a few duplicates of the item, change the type to "book section," and modify the data as needed.
-
Presently, you don't. It is planned to allow this in the future, though: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/78/ http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/391/ http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/3911/ http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/2402/

Looks fine in OpenOffice.org too. The output of this style is very close to the elsevier-without-titles style. You might see if this latter style works for you.

I have fixed these later two issues.

The same answer applies as for Windows to Linux: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/1878/ Just copy your zotero folder from the firefox profile to your second system.

@ftr: what does that proposed pole have to do with BibTeX? @jamessuthe: The case issues were addressed by the patch I described. The URL issue was at least partially addressed--"\url" and "\href" are stripped on import. This is the right way for t…

I found out that disambiguate-add-givennames fixes this (instead of givenname.)This attribute is neither in the schema, nor in the zotero source code. It MIGHT be that the mere presence of 'disambiguate-add-givenname' is currently making it act as …

sync degugging: Clear Server Data-removes all bibliographic metadata from the server. The next sync will essentially "push" all of the client's current data to the server & nothing will be on the server to "pull" down. This is a useful work-…

@aspludnj, Thanks for the details. I have committed a style for Basic and Applied Ecology.

This is obviously before you copy the needed files into the zotero directory. Again: double-check sizes/dates in your zotero directoryimmediately after you have copied your files over (before you launch firefox)after you have launched firefox. Plea…

My current work-around is to put 'in press' into the volume field. Elsevier and other publishers do this for the articles they make available online but that lack page numbers. This is often a slightly better field for journals I submit to: while…

Items deleted from your local checkout are not purged immediately. There is an 'about.config' setting to set the time between local deletion and purging them from the server. And you can use the proper 'storage debugging' function to get rid of th…

Given the number of styles that are requested, I don't know if separate threads are beneficial or not. I agree that having access to th three pieces of information that you list would be very useful. A fourth (maybe optional) item would be a link …

Keep in mind that you are using beta software--holes in documentation (and implementation) are to be expected. "Reset storage history" - Makes local sync database forget whether files have been synced or not. "Purge deleted storage files" - …

Articles that are "in press" are still, fundamentally, journal articles. They just lack complete location information (some or all of: volume/issue/pages/date/DOI/URI). How would an "in press" type be different than putting the known information i…
