You will have to upgrade to the most recent version of zotero that you had been using or will have to remove your zotero data directory to use the old version. Are you going back to 1.0 from 1.5? If so, why?

no, this is not yet possible. Go to the http://dx.doi.org/[DOI#], search for the DOI on google scholar, etc. It is very likely that you'll find a site that zotero can translate.
