Please give the full URI to an article that does not import correctly and a report ID, per http://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues This one works for me: http://dx.doi.org/10.1024/1010-0652/a000008

I'm looking forward to an updated Go-oo 3.2.1 build... anyone have an idea when this will come out?I just built and installed the current 3.2.1 git branch of Go-oo on Lucid and it still exhibits the bookmark problem.

Please refer to other threads on this topic. This request is not being ignored, but has a lower priority than other features because most functionality already exists in zotero, in third-party plugins for zotero, or in the file manager of your oper…

Confirmed. The encore translator has a ticket & a translator is in early development: https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/1343 Because the InnoPac URI lacks 'frameset' that is present in other search results (such as https://catalog.nypl.org/se…

Is there any way I can export entries so they can be imported with a preserved 'link to file' attachment? No. Links are preserved on sync and using the recommended backup procedure.

Which makes it a safe bet to exclude---if you can stomach the thought of excluding perfectly good data for a higher good.We shouldn't decide based on styles that don't work for you and do work for me. We can decide on the basis of what most other m…

Someone will likely make dependent styles for the other journals. IMHO, the canonical style should be named after the publisher if that publisher always uses the same style.

What do you think of the suggestion that we should forget holding to a single catch-all BibTeX export in Zotero? In case it was not clear: I disagree. Strongly. Having multiple user-installable CSL files would be fine with me.
-
I thought of that, but one problem seems that BibTeX styles tend to assume that the data you pass them in your database is an intentional indication of the output you want ---where edge cases are concerned. That is true for some styles, but not all. …

You can get items form either SOAP or just plain RSS, but there is not yet an API for writing to the server, so you will not be able to delete items.
-
right-click an item in the middle pane of zotero, select "add attachment->attach stored copy of file..." and then choose the file you'd like to attach.

which is to say at any rate the one I use: biblatex-chicago-dfDo you mean biblatex-chicago-notes-df?

A work-around is to use port forwarding. SSH is great if you have access to a server. There are altrnatives if you don't, such as http://www.networkactiv.com/AUTAPF.html

JabRef and bibutils both copy the month over from imported RIS files. I tested all bst files on my system. The following do NOT export a month with my test data:achemso aer aertt agecon agu agu04 agufull agufull04 aipauth4-1 aipauth4-1long ajae am…

Zotero-generated BibTeX files are also used for data exchange & there are certainly cases where you'd want to preserve as much information about the resource as possible. The right place to fix this would seem to be in .bst style that you're us…

Logged bug at openoffice and at launchpad.net.As fas as I know, this is not a bug with either of those applications, though. Certainly the link to the locale file is not very useful!

Rev. Sci. Instrum. allows comments to be inter-spersed with references. The best work-around that I can think of to this would be to have the style emit the "extra" field (it currently does not) & to make sure that it worked if you setup a blan…

In many (though not all) file managers, you'd be able to select all storage sub-folders from the backup & drag those into th zotero storage directory. If the folder name already existed, you'd be prompted to replace it & could say "no." Th…

Google scholar does not store separate abstract information, so it is not in their downloadable metadata. Zotero can't capture stuff that isn't there :-)

A sample RIS file is at: http://www.refman.com/support/risformat_sample_02.asp Does your data look like this when you open it it a text editor? If so, try to import a single record into Zotero. If that does not work, paste that single record here…

What issues are you having when you try to import it?
-
ptietjen: please read the thread you're replying to. The issue is different. Start a new thread (but, FWIW, "create new item from current page" seems to work fine at creating a snapshot there for me).

My question then becomes: which variant is especially suited to work with Zotero?I use bibtex-0.99 with .bst files written by publishers for most of my work. Most .bib files can be compatible with both BibLaTeX and BibTeX. BibTeX was made to have …

Have you tried the official Sun OO.o? Ubuntu's OO.o is a different build that has known issues in interacting with Zotero.

Ticket created. This reflects a bug in Zotero (for both import and export. Zotero uses the genre "theses", but the proper MARC genre is "thesis".I have finally submitted a patch for this.
