Thanks @northword for swiftly implementing the change and @DimaP for pointing out the problem. With todays build epubs do open as expected. So happy to finally start using epubs on android.

@dstillman: I also was referring to the top right search field, which did not have an effect for the recently read view. However in 9.0-beta.16+6140088b0 this is behaving as expected. So for me the issue is resolved.

Can't wait to test this on Android, ideally with html / epub support. It works well on desktop. Thanks - been wanting TTS since when I first started using Zotero many years ago. Fantastic feature.

I was considering re-installing, but to ensure I was able to provide debug data when requested I keep installation untouched. Happy to report though, that 1.0.0-222 no longer crashes on open. Thanks so much for investigating DimaP.

Interestingly this crash is not happening on a second android device running a16. Is there anything I can do to get back to working state? Currently zotero crashes on very open and the crash is persisting after a device restart.

This is outstanding news and a highly welcome change. Since I have mostly moved away from Apples mobile operating systems, hoping Android will catch up with epub / webpage snapshot support. Thanks for your work.

Been using it since the beta came out and it has been working great. Also things have stabilized a lot since the initial beta release. Lots of work has gone into the client. Currently eagerly waiting for the M3 UI changes to show as a beta update.

What should File → Import Annotations do? In my test with the file in question that option is greyed out.

Is there anything I can do to move this forward or get the issue recognized? On Android I can't get the OS to read the text of a PDF opened in Zotero at all.
