Polite ping about this. By the way - the situation that Zotero opens the page before the last opened page (which has the highlight to ensure to not lose position) also happens on desktop and is not limited to android.

The sentence highlighting is a great change. Thanks for improving read aloud and making highlighting word / sentence / paragraph a setting.

Nice feature - thanks for improving readability. In a quick test found that a TOC which consists of text only in a clear structured form with indention was not transformed into text but partly shown as image in the new reading mode.

Should german siri voices be available in local voices when downloaded on macOS? Premium voices are visible for selection but downloaded siri voices are not showing up in voice selection.

I would agree with the noise aspect if there was an open issue for this on GitHub. But I am just a user so will follow as suggested.

Thanks @northword for swiftly implementing the change and @DimaP for pointing out the problem. With todays build epubs do open as expected. So happy to finally start using epubs on android.

@dstillman is this a known issue devs are aware of? Seeing a few open issues irt epub but they don't seem to match this specific issue I think.

@dstillman: I also was referring to the top right search field, which did not have an effect for the recently read view. However in 9.0-beta.16+6140088b0 this is behaving as expected. So for me the issue is resolved.

Can't wait to test this on Android, ideally with html / epub support. It works well on desktop. Thanks - been wanting TTS since when I first started using Zotero many years ago. Fantastic feature.

I was considering re-installing, but to ensure I was able to provide debug data when requested I keep installation untouched. Happy to report though, that 1.0.0-222 no longer crashes on open. Thanks so much for investigating DimaP.

Interestingly this crash is not happening on a second android device running a16. Is there anything I can do to get back to working state? Currently zotero crashes on very open and the crash is persisting after a device restart.
