Yes, although it is reduced. There seems to be two components! (1) steady stutter when only scrolling (2) erratic stutter and lag when moving the cursor while scrolling (2) is much more severe and does not happen in the beta (1) however still ha…

It seems to be related to this post: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/119199/zotero-7-experiences-lag-in-pdf-scrolling-compared-to-zotero-6-on-a-2018-mac-mini Indeed, the issue becomes much worse if my cursor moves while scrolling. If I don't m…

PS: it is also the only PDF reader on my mac that is experiencing this. I opened the same pdfs with different readers, and it is only Desktop Zotero that is stuttering during scrolling. Recording: https://youtu.be/7LuwjVN048c

As I noted, this happens rarely, but enough that I've done this procedure maybe 8-10 times over the last year (but I use Zotero many times a day, so overall frequency is still low). When I tried it now on my iphone to see if these specific items mig…

I think this was one of them, although there were multiple items missing. https://www.zotero.org/venpopov/items/IZ64TM6I/item-details I added it a few hours earlier on my other ipad, and read/highlighted multiple pages. Then my batttery was gettin…

Also happens on the beta, including the latest one. If you rotate the screen to landscape mode and back the rectangle disappears. Then it won’t appear when showing and hiding the toolbar a few times, until it randomly appears again after a few show/…

that's great to hear! thanks for addressing it so quickly

PDFs from Jstor seem to be saved with no issue (not blank items). Example: https://www.jstor.org/stable/pdf/42970706.pdf It's one of the few pdf sources that saves correctly on the beta. I'm hoping that having more examples of which pdfs work and w…

Sure. Thanks for looking into it. I didn’t mention it because my memory was that this was an ongoing issue I’ve had before I switched to the beta (which was a month ago), so I didn’t think it was relevant. I can’t go back in time and check if that w…

Ok, some additional testing on the iPad. It seems to be a safari issue. When I tried with chrome (which I never use), it works https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u16078769/52ypfyipujt6nd1npjza.png

Here’s some additional information that might help debug this. I have two devices, an iPhone and an iPad. Test item: https://www.science.org/cms/asset/910714a7-ee2a-486e-9970-42fb893b08d9/pap.pdf Test procedure: Open the link in Safari and use th…

The iPad app where almost all pdfs get added as a blank webpage link is v.2.0.0 Build 372.I’m sharing from Safari and even with all extensions disabled the result is the same. The image in my first post is the typical end result for the vast major…

Although even on my phone it’s inconsistent- the pdf from Researchgate gets saved as a webpage with just the full link url as the name

It might be a Zotero beta issue. I use the regular version on my phone and there it saves pdfs fine. On my iPad tablet I have the Zotero Beta and there it fails with the empty page

Almost every pdf does this, very rarely do I get anything else. Some collection at random: https://www.science.org/cms/asset/910714a7-ee2a-486e-9970-42fb893b08d9/pap.pdf https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/ecology-and-evolution/articles/10.3389/f…

I fixed it in a fork if anyone else uses this: https://github.com/venpopov/zotero-markdown-translator It would still be really nice to be able to get the URI on iOS. Unfortunately the iOS app does not provide any way to programmatically interact wi…

Ah, I've had this functionality for such a long time that I did not remember it wasn't built-in. It's exactly from what @adamsmith linked to (which is not a plugin so it's not listed in the plugin page). Yeah, I can patch my local copy of it, thanks…

Any way to get a deep link to a resource while on the ios app itself? or does this work only if you are able to get the link on mac first?

I am experiencing the same issue recently. Easiest way to see it is to use the pencil to scroll. if the pencil touches the page, the frame rate drops drammatically. But if the pencil touches the free space outside of the document to scroll, it is fi…
