Ok, I renamed them properly this time. Not prompted to re-download/re-install. Reloaded Firefox. Still not able read pdf text. Again, I'm going to blame my wacky system. Thanks again for taking the time on this one.

I used a 'which zotero' command to navigate to /usr/bin

try to run zotero from terminal: /usr/bin/zotero: line 3 ./zotero: no such file or directory

Nothing happens. It doesn't open. I cannot even click on the icon in Dash, and the icon on the launcher blinks and then nothing.
