Thanks, on iOS and iPadOS devices, I mainly add PDFs to the Zotero library according to two workflows: Workflow 1: - In the Brave browser, select Print > tap share to > Zotero > Save to Zotero Workflow 2: - In the Zotero app, open a PDF, …

Uploading PDF attachments also worked, after about 5 minutes. I'll keep on playing around in the next days and let you know how it goes on. Thanks a lot, nbpf

Thanks, I have installed the latest beta (2.0.0-401). The library now syncs. Uploading PDF attachments to the WebDAV server does not seem work, as described in my post 8 days ago. I'll give it some more time and report back.
-
Now also the library fails to sync: I can see items on zotero.org that are rightly there and that do not appear on my iPhone. Any idea how to proceed? Thanks, nbpf

Right, I have made yet another test and I can confirm that uploading PDF attachments to a WebDAV using the iOS Zotero app does not work. However, subsequently uploading another PDF attachment to the WebDAV using the Linux Zotero app works flawlessly…

I have started another test and I can confirm that the problem is indeed uploading the attachment to the WebDAV. It should probably take a few minutes but, about half an hour later, there is still no new file on the WebDAV. I'll keep on monitoring…

Why confusing? I am adding an item to the Zotero library using my iPhone, in the specific example, one with a PDF attachment. The item shows up immediately on my other devices and on www.zotero.org, hence it is not an issue with library data. H…

After 3 days the data have suddenly synced. This is a bit crazy, is there any additional information that I can report to help debugging the issue?

After 3 days the data have suddenly synced. This is a bit crazy and mildly annoying...

Right, it was perhaps a mistake to further comment on https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/500703 and I am not able to erase my post. The error is anyway probably new because "Advanced > Start Full Sync Debugging" does not have the effe…

The sync errors are back again: here is a logged instance of a recent (today) sync failure from iOS: the debug ID is D1727744876. The zotero.org URL is: https://www.zotero.org/nbpf/collections/2DTMWVUX/items/SKVKU65L/collection. The error messag…

Right, it was probably a mistake to activate "Advanced > Start Full Sync Debugging" on the second device as well, now I do not seem to be able to reproduce the error any longer and any modification done in the Linux app appears almost immediately…
-
I can confirm the same behavior on the second iOS device: selecting "Advanced > Start Full Sync Debugging" has immediately successfully brought all the missing data into the iOS app. Debug ID for the second iOS device is D284933982.

I am double checking on another iOS device...
-
It is quite crazy: by selecting "Start Full Sync Debugging" in the iOS app (resulting in D977607994), all missing data have suddenly appeared in the iOS app and sync has completed!
-
Thanks, following step 6) the PDF https://www.zotero.org/nbpf/collections/2DTMWVUX/items/ENQX3G7Y/collection of my online library is one of those that fail to appear in the iOS app. The modification time for this item is 9/1/2025, 10:45:00 AM…

Thanks, I have checked that. The Web Library has synced flawlessly, it's only iOS devices that are not syncing. The last successful sync of iOS devices was Thursday or Friday last week.
-
Thanks, this is great news!
-
Great, thanks for the feedback and for the clarification!
-
Short Update: I am now on iOS 18.4.1 and Zotero 1.0.50 Build 333 and syncing works flawlessly for me. Thanks, nbpf
-
The problem appears to have been fixed in the beta version of the iOS app (tested on iPhone, iOS 18.2.1)
-
I see, thanks for the clarifications!

In the desktop version saving from a browser via Zotero Connector creates a snapshot of the webpage in question, under iOS sharing to Zotero does not create a snapshot. Adding by URL on zotero.org also does not create a snapshot, I believe. I find a…

I am not sure that creating Zotero notes is the best approach in all situations. For example, when reviewing a paper or student work, I typically need to add a few pages of hand written comments after a specific page of the document under review a…
