Thank you. I'm sure having BMJ supported would help a lot of people. Unfortunately, I'm using Chrome and Standalone for reasons relating to my organisational set up.
-
Please add this - it is a big nuisance not to be able to use this!
-
I've answered my own question - use "only show top level items" in search criteria.
-
FYI, if I try to save a copy, the file flashes up in the folder to which I am saving and then disappears ...
-
PS I can select all and copy into word but nothing else
-
Is there still no fix for this? I am trying to save / print a report from Standalone. Am able to generate but menus don't work.
-
For anyone else who is looking at this issue, you can use the search function to search for a number of tags together. I didn't see this on any of the information on tagging or in the thread above, so hope it might be useful to someone ....
-
This is important as automatic tagging often means you have a lot of similar tags for the same issue and want to look at ALL references with a variety of different tags.

I just installed standalone (as far as I was aware, and this is born out by the fact that there is no Z extension in firefox) so it seems odd to me that there is this separate Zotero folder as well as the Zotero STandalone - but it is working alongs…
-
I'm actually going to try using the connector for chrome instead of the Zotero for Firefox to simplify matters. I've been told that using Firefox has caused another user here some problems too - maybe it is something to do with the way that it is in…
-
Right. I have now deleted those left-over folders and reinstalled Firefox and am no longer getting the profile prompts. Firefox is also not freezing any more. I then looked to see what Zotero folders I have in Appdata\local and found two folders la…
-
Yes - have already done that.
-
And there is also a FirefoxProfile folder too containing lots of files (see https://docs.google.com/document/d/10cVvUQK6s4ZWcFmJYMI6gwB4-UoxrHJa8oZql6tpFAM/edit?usp=sharing)

OK so I have now been able to delete the Firefox folder - thank you, that worked. I notice that there is also a Mozilla Firefox folder in Appdata\local (as well as a Mozilla folder). This contains an 'uninstall' folder and an executable file firefo…

As you say, I have been able to delete other folders in appdata, and I have realised that the contents of the Firefox folder have been deleted (just not the folder icon). Perhaps that is something to do with the Firefox set up (as I am not getting a…

Yes, I have tried saving a profile to the desktop but same problem. So I'm now trying to follow your instructions above - I can't reset firefox because there is no firefox reset option when there is a problem with the profile [see https://bugzilla.…
-
I don't have administrator rights so have reinstalled as above. The problem must be something to do with a file that I deleted the other day. It has worked fine until I tried to uninstall firefox and zotero for firefox. The best thing for me now wo…

I have deleted files as instructed above - but am now getting the following message 'problem with shortcut' even though I don't think I am using a shortcut (I'm searching for zotero standalone through the start menu). See dialogue box at link below:…
-
Can you confirm before I delete anything else accidentally?
-
i.e. not just the profile folder.
-
So deleting the whole string from the first Zotero AND Zotero Standalone?
-
If I close firefox without doing anything with zotero standalone, I still get the prompt when I restart it.
-
I can't even start zotero in firefox because when I go back into firefox past the choose user profile box, zotero is no longer installed. I have tried this repeatedly with the same result.
-
OK I understand. Yes that's exactly what I am saying. I am saving in the default location, and/or tried to use the default user option, but whatever I do, there is no sign of it when I start firefox again.
-
I can't save anything in the normal way because zotero is not staying installed in firefox (see posts above). If I drag a pdf into standalone, it saves in the default location. I can not change to my own directory location (see above posts).
-
OK - I have the files that you are talking about under local - see file paths below: C:\Users\cm582\AppData\Local\Zotero\Zotero\Profiles C:\Users\cm582\AppData\Local\Zotero Standalone I presume you mean me to delete the first Zotero folder of the…

I'm not starting standalone from a shortcut.
-
I've got nothing under appdata because I deleted it this morning, thinking that I was clearing the slate for a reinstall of firefox and zotero for firefox. I was wrong to do that obviously - I think that is what may be causing all the problems. I al…

Here's a link to the print screen in case you need it https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FwFArrFjVEe1JIilbKyY7FbyPj4oeSzW9QOJgi8Utvc/edit?usp=sharing

It's the dialogue box shown here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles Firefox Choose User Profile When I open zotero standalone, the same dialogue box appears - only this time it is headed: zote…
