Also, what to make of Knobloch, Hans Die Legensgestalt der Handschrift SaarBrucken, West-ost Verlag: 1950 That doesn't have 3 fields in the last line. Seems to be place/date, but you did say City, State: Publisher: Year of Publication.

And on what OS are you doing this?
-
Are you using python 2 or 3? Also, Zotero journal articles don't have a "Place" field. Report does, for example. What type of item do you have in mind for the import?
-
First thing: I think anystyle.io expects one reference to be on one line. I got a lot better results when I entered Jacobs, Eva. The Wittlich Character Diagram, NP: 1971 Karohs, Erika. Step By Step System of Handwriting Analysis CD, Pebble Beach C…

You can try the python script at https://gist.githubusercontent.com/retorquere/7de109dc80d509941ada1fd88ed9fe12/raw/833105e8c68e61cac28840d3ee8cc592aa3fc1f2/dir2rdf.py . When provided with a directory name of the top level directory that holds the P…

Also, you might get lucky and the PDFs will have metadata that can be fetched. Bulk import of a hierarchy of PDFs is still possible, and if you get me a copy of the PDFs or at least the folder structure, I can probably get you a zotero rdf that will…

I've added libnss3-dev as a dependency to https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-deb so that it will automatically be installed when you install Zotero.
-
ppa:smathot/cogscinl is still at 5.0.56. The latest version can be installed from https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-deb (but you'll likely have to uninstall the package installed from the PPA)

If you don't have a 2nd pc at hand, VirtualBox + https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/ should do the job

This can be done in Rmarkdown should you want it badly enough

Zotero has an API you can use to get data in (but that requires storage quota for any attached files). The other way would be to prep the data into a format that can be imported; if you want to import collections, that's going to be BibTeX or Zotero…

I fail to see what information we're supposed to extract from the "kicking and screaming" part. I don't reckon anyone on this forum is forcing you. If you don't have structured information beyond the APA-formatted references, you can try putting th…

I am 100% going to use this for a workshop. The workshop page still mentions Zotero for Firefox, which no longer exists.
-
I've tried to find the test case in question but so much got changed in the Z5 port that I don't have a clear sense of when it was introduced in the git history.
-
I could be wrong on the list (this is just what I ended up with through error reports, I've never found good docs for this), but at least something must be escaped (like braces).
-
In biblatex, it's supported. Just generally, use biblatex if you can. In bibtex, it depends. I export it as "\url{...}"; inside "\url{...}", verbatim rules apply, which for bibtex means "#\%&{}" must all be escaped (IIRC). For bibtex, you'd gen…

I've been using V2 actively the past few weeks and I haven't seen problems.
-
Newest version is apt-gettable from https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-deb . I believe ppa:smathot/cogscinl hasn't been updated for a while.
-
Notepad++ is the go-to replacement for Notepad. But if keys don't autocomplete on Overleaf but otherwise look OK, contact Overleaf support. They're very responsive.
-
You can however use BBTs git support to push BBT-generated keys to overleaf. That's how I use it. You can also set the BBT pattern to "zotero" and you'll see the same keys(*) in Zotero as when you get them from the regular integration with Overleaf.…

It's still on my mind, but I've been dabbling with an alternate ways to configure the plugin (I really, really hate UI work).
-
Anystyle.io might also be able to help.
-
If you already have an existing document with references, there may be a way, but it's not very user friendly. If Zotero can in some way export a google doc with references to a Word doc with references (either directly, or maybe using a CSL style …

In what way does ODF-scan not work for non-English? The zotpick solution is a complement to what @adamsmith describes -- I forgot to mention that. Zotpick offers an easy way to get the markers into your document, but you'd still have to use either …

The pdf field seems to point to a local file. As long as the bib file is in directory that has the "uploads/pdf" folder, and the "uploads/pdf" folder has the file "imma02.pdf", it should import without issue.
-
I wouldn't expect there to be a significant difference between BBT and stock zotero; most of the parsing work is up-front, after which the individual saves are going to be pretty much the same pace as any other importer. If you have a copy of those …

They don't integrate. All that it does is launch a program, which usually (but not even necessarily) brings it to the foreground. It's literally no different from clicking the Zotero icon in the taskbar. When they say "simple" they don't mean "simpl…

I don't really know -- I only make the backend that powers it. What you posted looks like the script to compile with pandoc though, not the script that triggers the picker. The latter would have to be changed to get the "@" after picking a reference…
