This was and is still related to BBT translators not being loaded in noWait mode. I have no idea what that means or how to avoid it.
-
Recommendation is actually to brace words, not single letters, since bracing single letters might mess with kerning.
-
https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/support/faq/: To make matters even more complex, so many people have in the past wrongly recommended to "just wrap everything in one extra set of braces" that biblatex now ignores exactly that pattern (see h…
-
@adamsmith it's easy to handle - add both the literal value and the parsed value to the item's attachmemt array, and zotero will ignore the path it can't find.
-
I think BBT will import that.
-
Turn off the cache under settings -> export -> misc. Zotero on Windows can only use 3G of memory.
-
edit: that's just what that plugin does. If the date is empty, and an URL is present, and the last-modified of that URL is not today, it fills in the last-modified date.

I can take a look at auto-exporting My Publications (for which you'll indeed habe to open an issue on github) , but it might be impossible for the same reasons selected items or searches are not supported; bbt auto-exports remember the container bei…

If someone could get me a sample in a BBT github issue I could have a look.
-
Correct.
-
By default, the pinned key is lost, and the existing key remains non-pinned.
-
Has anyone here worked with this API before? @vsimonnet can you open an issue on the github project? I need someone who actually uses pubmed to get this done.
-
BBT is better bibtex, correct.
-
Doesn't look to be too hard, I'll see what I can do over the weekend.
-
This is a BBT question. Please open an issue on github.
-
Yeah that's a good point, the bbt-produced bibtex should import without issue with BBT uninstalled.
-
I can't promise anything for the short term, but please open an issue for this on BBTs github project.
-
For BBT support please open an issue on github.

If you rename the xpi to zip, you should be able to view its contents. If that doesn't work, you don't actually have a xpi.
-
I wonder whether a subreddit couldn't just replace these forums.
-
I can give it a stab. It'd be a separate translator, but the plumbing is there in BBT.
-
If it's just the popup, you can disable it by changing startupProgress.
-
Speed upgrade achieved.
-
Yes.
-
If you export as Zotero RDF, everything you need to reconstruct the note in LaTeX is present in the export. It will be a bit of work to do.
-
And from the same download page, these would have reduced "a whole day" to minutes: https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-deb/#readme The snap package keeps running into file permission problems. Don't see why people are so enamored of them.
-
I could do this as a plugin
-
You mean you get [[sic]] in the better bibtex export? I don't see that. I do see {{sic}}, and that is as it should be -- it means bibtex will not change the case on sic, which is what you want. If you mean you get double brackets using [[sic]], then…

I work on a MacBook Pro 2018 connected to two external monitors using a caldigit TS3plus TB dock. Never had this problem. You can disable the popup by changing the hidden variable startupProgress to the exact text progressbar.
-
If you render a title-case style (such as CMoS) bibliography from that title, Zotero also turns it into Sic. If Zotero exempts sic from capitalization, I will make BBT follow suit. The short-term solution for both Zotero and BBT is to enter the titl…
