You are wright. Installed are Zotero Word for windows integration 3.1.15 & Zotero 4.0.19.

when downloading it does say it downloads zotero-winword-plugin-3.1.15.xpi, I don't see Zotero under firefox - tools - add-ons, but I see and can access my Zotero-library from the toolbar at the bottum of firefox .

First firefox asks for permission, then it says install. It downloads 3 files and then says I need to restart firefox, wich I have done. I also closed and opened word, but no plugin appears in Word.

Yes that is the page I used. It had now installed (or so it says), but I do not see a zotero logo at the bottom of my firefox window after restarting firefox...
