Oh and I see in https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/blob/v1.0.2/schemas/input/csl-citation.json (l. 72) that "version" is also a new locator which isn't in the cls specs.
-
Ah ok I see. And the locator "scene" is missing on https://docs.citationstyles.org/en/stable/specification.html#locators The timestamp locator will be implemented in future? I saw that its already in some json files (e.g. the locales files). Since …
-
I also noticed that "scene" isn't mapped to "timestamp". So timestamp and supplement aren't available at the word plugin. And scene is available but not listed at csl documentation.
-
I guessed most of the abbreviations but there are still some missing. "supplement" isn't supported yet, isn't it? But I noticed the abbreviation "art." ist linked to the wrong term. It's linked to "article" but it should be "article-locator". And…

They're missing in german.
-
There are translations missing for e.g. appendix, equation and table. Those are used very often in engineering.
-
Are there any plans to update the locator terms and ui labels? Most of them aren't translated whether frontend nor backend. I don't really see a point of using them but there isn't an option for individual entries.
-
You're right. But because there is no user orientated mapping, I had to create my own. It's just for those who have the same troubles with creating an flawless csl citation style. And because the json data isn't optimized for those user orientated m…

Here is an example picture of the mapping of the csl number-variables: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u15233917/ab4ldurtlkl5ld8l9oik.png

Thanks for the informations. I made an excel for my own overview in order to create my own citation style. I mapped every csl variable to the corresponding Zotero field. Then I added the user interface terms for all languages. One can select their…

I have another question. The Zotero variable "place" is mapped to the csl variables "publisher-place" and "event-place". How do I know which variable is used for the citation?
-
"Especially for the various ways the retrieved/accessed gets used in styles, you're often just better off defining a custom term." I think you're right but that's my point. Currently it's not possible to produce a gramatically correct citation with…

Thanks for the links. I also noticed that the term "on" is more difficult than I thought. because it can be used as "auf" (e.g. "verfügbar auf YouTube") and "am" (e.g. "abgerufen am 01.01.2024"). But I think "auf" would be the best translation. if …

@adamsmith thanks for your input. but I think there are some mistakes in the mapping. 1) "country" (which is only available at patent) should be mapped to "jurisdiction". The csl definition is "Geographic scope of relevance (e.g. “US” for a US pate…

@dstillman thanks for the link. I'm extracting the data right now but there are base fields missing for the following creator types: artist, attorneyAgent, cartographer, commenter, cosponsor, counsel, interviewee, inventor, performer, podcaster, pre…

I think the easiest and quickest way to tackle the mentioned problems with the inadequate item types is to just insert the CSL-variable "genre" as a field in every entry type. The definition is: "Type, class, or subtype of the item (e.g. “Doctoral …

@aurimas Very nice job. thanks for your great work so far!! I'm still confused why – after all those years – there is no official mapping from Zotero or am I missing something? I think it's fundamental for creating an individual citation style which…

I also think that it would be much more clear if those four buttons on top would be more colorful. They should be in the same color as the icons on the right but fully colored to show that those are overarching buttons and not just for a specific en…
