Zotero Document Preferences does not allow Bookmarks for Chicago Manual of Styles 16th edition (full note); it allows bookmarks only for author-note. I just tried LibreOffice, and it works fine. No problem with italics disappearing. Many thanks.

Many thanks, adamsmith. Citation insertion works fine now after re-installing WP integration from Cite Tab. This forum is a big help. I can't imagine what users would do without it.

Citation insertion used to work fine but at some point it worked only when I opened both Zotero Firefox and Zotero Standalone. I recently deleted Zotero Standalone, and now I can no longer insert citations.

By "merging the two directories," do you mean merging the two storage folders? Do I simply copy/paste all the files from the smaller to the bigger folder?

I was using both Standalone and Firefox. The collections that disappeared were more recent ones created within the last 6 months or so. Thinking that using Standalone and Firefox somehow messed things up, I deleted Standalone yesterday.
