• Thanks for your input. Indeed, what I would like to know is why the Zotero api won't connect to the Mendeley Desktop, and whether this could be related to the fact that I exceeded the storage space to sync files in Zotero.

• Do the files need to be synced for the Mendeley transfer? And if you would want to link Zotero to e.g. Overleaf, would your files need to be synced then?
