I have a problem where Zotero will not install the add-on. I am running Zotero 7.0.0-beta.39+ecba25be0 on MacOS 13.5.2 (22G91) on a MacBook Pro with an M1 chip. I get the error message: The add-on "/Users/horowitzts/Downloads/zotero-odf-scan-v2.0.48…

The Zotero toolbar does not show up as an option in the View -> Toolbars menu.

Update: It turns out there is a corrupt reference in my document. The very last reference in the main text, in fact. Without that reference, everything works fine.

I definitely installed the JDK. I upgraded LibreOffice to 5.2.4.2 (Zotero is 4.0.29.15, plugin is 3.5.12). Didn't help. reinstalled plugin, no effect. Uninstalled plugin, deleted Java and LO and reinstalled. Same problem.

I updated to version 112, but now I can't enable Zotero integration. LibreOffice just hangs when I try to.

LibreOffice is currently using jdk1.8.0_91.

I do not see that dialog, and I am not an administrator on my computer anyway. So, by process of elimination, I suppose it must be "security software". The computer does have "ActivIdentity" running to recognize a PIV card. Could that be the problem…

"Does this happen with files not stored on a network share?" Do you mean the Word file I'm trying to insert a reference in? Yes. I just created a new document and saved it on the local hard drive. I tried to insert a reference and got the same …

Is there some solution to this problem? My entire motivation for switching to Zotero was to have reference software that could work on both my work windows computer and my personal mac, but it doesn't seem to work properly on windows.

The retrieve metadata procedure is great, and works for the majority of pdfs I have imported to Zotero. But I have two pdfs now which do not seem to have metadata associated with them. Perhaps I did not make that clear enough in my original posting.…
