Had the same problem here, changing the theme to Adwaita seems to have fixed it.

Hey thanks for the reply. So it wasn't that the translators needed updating (it was a fresh install anyway, but I did try updating). In any case, I just started using Chrome instead of Firefox and all seems well. Everything also works fine on my Mac…
