Install the Zotfile plugin. Annotation extraction is a feature of Zotfile.
-
What citation style are you using?
-
Yes, it’s being actively worked on. You could try to see if the DOI Manager plugin will retrieve the DOI for you. Then, you can copy the DOI, use the magic wand tool to make a new copy from the DOI, and merge the two items.
-
I’m assuming you are using APA style. This is a change in APA 7th edition from 6th edition. Now, et al is used immediately for 3+ authors, even the first time. I’d you want to use APA 6th edition, that is available from the Zotero Style Repository…

This isn’t possible in Zotero, but it is possible in Jurism, a version of Zotero with expanded multilingual and legal citation features: https://juris-m.GitHub.io
-
That’s this style http://www.zotero.org/styles/council-of-science-editors

1) Take a look at the citation section of the Chicago (full note) style for an example of how to do first vs subsequent formatting. 2) Add these arguments to the citation line: et-al-min="5" et-al-use-first="1"

There haven’t been any reports of incompatibilities on these forums or the Zotfile GitHub page.
-
You can wrap the prefix in tags
-
No, Zotero doesn’t have access to that sort of information about pagination.
-
How exactly are you trying to download? Just clicking the link downloads it for me
-
Can you post a link to the journal style guidelines?
-
They won’t be linked to the document.

1) First check that you have the date entered for the item in your library. If there is no date in the item data, it can’t be shown. If there is the date, check that you are actually using the Cite Them Right style (e.g., MLA style only shows the au…

If you are doing legal citation, you will want to use Jurism, a version of Zotero with much expanded legal citation capabilities. Jurism is equipped to cite Philippine law (among other international jurisdictions) out of the box. Select the Indigo B…

You should generally avoid using affixes for commas and instead use group delimiters. Group delimiters won’t appear if they aren’t needed (unlike affixes).

The existing translation was provided by an Italian volunteer. You are welcome to submit suggestions for changes here https://www.transifex.com/zotero/zotero/

Data syncing is the item title, authors, journal, etc., along with information about collections, tags, notes. That’s always unlimited. File syncing is attachment files like PDFs, images, or Word documents that you’ve attached to the items. That’s…

I would suggest writing to the journal and inquiring about these. I suspect that they just don’t enforce style adherence that strictly.

When you export to those formats, generally the XML or BibTeX files refer to pdf files from that location. So, if you place the xml or bib file in the same folder as the PDFs, it should import correctly. See https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/endnote…
-
That’s still the recommended strategy. I suggest deleting the files from storage for all libraries, then re-downloading the ones you need for the one library.
-
You are probably thinking of Endnote, which has a right click menu like that.
-
If you have further API questions, please post them to the Zotero-dev Google group. You’ll get faster responses there and we try to keep overly technical discussion off these forums.
-
Oh, that’s an exciting development!
-
Can you please take a screenshot of the item as you see it in Zotero, upload to dropbox or similar, and give a link here?
-
@wjakethompson Support for institutional abbreviations is coming in CSL version 1.1, which will be released in 2021. For now, I suggest entering the author as the abbreviation and putting the full organization name in the Publisher field.
-
Ensure that you have consistently entered the name as Troxler || Peter for all of the items in your Zotero library. See https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/given_name_disambiguation
-
But how is it saved in your Zotero library? When you select the item, does it say Journal Article or Webpage for the item type at the top of the item information pane?
