Adding citations to word on mac using Cite Them Right 10th edition Harvard

I would like to use the 'Cite Them Right Harvard 10th Edition' format for my citations in word using a mac, and I understand that this should show as (author, year) in the body of the text. I have set all the settings on Zotero to this style, and attempted to insert the citation in the text in word (I have installed the word plug in). However, when I do this, only the author name appears, but not the year (so: (Kellman), rather than (Kellman, 2012) as should happen with this style (I have also tested it via preview in zotero). I would be very grateful for advice about this issue.
I also wanted to ask what the best way is to cite a chapter from a book which has multiple essays by different authors?
Many thanks.
  • 1) First check that you have the date entered for the item in your library. If there is no date in the item data, it can’t be shown. If there is the date, check that you are actually using the Cite Them Right style (e.g., MLA style only shows the author). How are you selecting a style for your document? This is set in the Document Preferences window in the Zotero tab in Word, not in the Zotero app itself.
