The assignment of “a” and “b” is determined by the ordering of the items in the bibliography, not their order of appearance. This is a deviation of your university requirements from the APA manual, so I would suggest first directing your supervisor …

You can change the location of your Zotero data directory in the Advanced tab of Zotero preferences https://www.zotero.org/support/preferences/advanced

If you are writing in TeX with Zotero, you want to Install the Better BibTeX plugin. You should do all of your editing of items in Zotero and all BBT to automatically generate the .bib file as output

Not that, per APA style, if you want (A, as cited in B), you should only only cite B and then enter all of “A, as cited in” as a prefix. But I also strongly recommend not doing this at all. You should seek out the A reference itself, read it, and …

Type of artwork is “genre” Materials is “medium” Venue is “event” and “event-place” Artist information like that I would just add to the first name field ala Jones | Mia (principal, 80%) For stuff like prestige of the venue, either store that in t…

On a Mac, in any application, you can three-finger tap or control-click to look up words in the dictionary
-
Use “Book section” for introductions, like other chapters

Is this for a specific journal or publisher? Can you link to the guidelines?

Cite as a Report

I suggest using a cloud service with native WebDAV support or Zotero storage.

The OnlyOffice plugin isn’t really feature complete at all. It really doesn’t do much more than you could achieve manually copying bibliography entries from Zotero directly. This is the issue they use to track progress, but proper Zotero support d…

What is the context where you have an item with a month but no year? I am having a hard time thinking of an example where that is the correct data.

The Zutilo plugin also adds a “paste tags from clipboard” option to the right click menu

The documentation isn’t structured as a book, so it’s not clear what “next” and “previous” pages would mean
-
In general, you should find and remove any “Type:Article” from your Extra fields @adamsmith @AbeJellinek We should avoid saving any “Type:” information from a publisher’s webpage.

In the mean time, the Zoo third party app seems to work well https://www.zotero.org/support/mobile

You should not clean bibliographic data in Excel. Either clean it in Zotero itself or use the Zotero API (eg, you can access the Zotero API in R using https://github.com/giocomai/zoteror).

CSL 1.0.2 has an Event type. You can tell Zotero to treat an item as an event by entering this in Extra Type: event You can add a curator the same way: Curator: Family || Given A.

As has been said above in this thread, you would need to request that WPS add Zotero integration from their end. It is not helpful to continue posting here.

Where are you getting your data from? Can you export it in BibTeX or CSL JSON format? Note that you should store the data in Extra like this: Original date: yyyy-mm-dd
-
Paste your edited style here and see what the issue is https://validator.citationstyles.org/

Currently making a new item and merging is the process. The function to do it in one step is coming along and will likely be implemented soon if I had to guess (just my impression, not any official insight)

@dstillman We’ve been seeing this confusion a lot lately. Is there a particular reason to not have the plugins menu in the Tools pane in the PDF viewer, especially considering some plugins now focus on the PDF viewer?
-
Is this for a specific journal or publisher? If you’re writing in German, check out the DGP style as well, which uses this page format I believe
-
You can insert page numbers by clicking on the blue bubble for the item or typing Ctrl/Cmd+Down Arrow and then typing the number in the popup field. This is more reliable than the heuristic of typing the page number in the search bar
-
If you are writing with BibTeX, you should install and use the BetterBibTeX plugin. With this, you can also export the bib file converting those characters into TeX escapes
-
You need to open the Extensions settings in Safari and enable it

Make a tag with the ✔️ Emoji as the tag text, then make that a colored tag (right click and choose Assign color)

I’ve never encountered data where a colon was inserted into data like this. That would seem to be something the database should fix?

Set your 4shared sync client to not sync the Zotero folder. Then also set the Zotero sync settings to download your files As Needed
