@dstillman Can this style be added to the APA style subtitles list ?
-
You can use the Report Customizer plugin to edit the fields included in reports https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-report-customizer You could also generate a bibliography with the APA (with abstract) style, which included a bibliography referenc…

Try using colored tags and setting the name of the tag to be an emoji, like 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣
-
It is correct AMJ style to add the first author initials if you are citing multiple different “Xu” authors with different given names See also https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/given_name_disambiguation
-
You can use Zotero with pandoc/RMarkdown (z especially with the BetterBibTeX plugin) and go to various slide formats, but not currently any graphical slide apps
-
Use ‘Type: dataset’ For the revision, use ‘Version: rev. C’ For numbering of reports, etc, all of those can be stored with ‘Number: 1234’
-
The major reason is that colored tags can be added and removed by typing the 1-9 keys on your keyboard (and 0 removes all colored tags)
-
Does Papers provide a way to embed annotations in the PDF files on export (the way Zotero does)? Zotero can import PDF-standard annotations
-
I haven’t looked at it since 2018
-
It hasn’t gone anywhere. What are you experiencing that you think it’s gone? What happens when you try to assign a color to a tag?

A good heuristic is, if there is a publication date, as here, that page is probably not going to change (or if it does, the publication date will be updated), so omit the retrieval date. NHS pages like this certainly fall into the category of not …
-
Or format the citation as Weiner (1978, p. 123) xyz… That is common in APA journals and easier for readers to parse in any event
-
Note that the APA manual would _NOT_ require a retrieval date for this webpage, as it is not expected to change frequently
-
Zotero citations do not have awareness of the document text around them in that way, no. For note styles, Zotero just tells Word “inset a note here” and then adds its citation fields to that note. If you want to edit text associated with a citation …

In general, I would suggest starting with a different style than APA. This doesn’t resemble APA that much, and a lot of APA’s complexity is going to make this hard to edit
-
I’ve got that in my private repo I think, so I will add it to the CSL repo
-
DOI will be added to all item types in a future update. For now, you can enter in Extra like this: DOI: 10.1234/567890
-
It is populated manually generally. It is for things like the box and folder number for a document in a museum collection. File location on your computer you can see by selecting an item and expanding its attachments (click the spin toggle next to…

Use type “Artwork” for that

No

Many publishers have separate pages for chapters. If they do, import from there. Each chapter might also have its own DOI, you can import each using the magic wand tool. If not, the Zutilo plugin adds an option to “Create Book Section from book it…
-
Open the style in a text editor. Search for name-as-sort-order and delete all the places where that occurs. Change the style title and ID at the top to anything else. Save and install into Zotero.
-
It will be a completely separate type. You would want to edit your CSL style to add classic next to book where needed
-
What do you mean by (1)?
-
So to echo what adamsmith says, this is correct APA style. The letters are ordered by alphabetical appearance in the bibliography (have been since APA 5th Ed)
-
The retrieval date is only included in APA style references if the item has a URL and it has neither a publication date or a status. This is intended to align with APA’s rule that the retrieval date should be included if the website is updated frequ…

Installing a trial version of Parallels on your Mac and running Word in a Windows virtual machine is also an option

If you are writing in TeX or Markdown, you should use the BetterBibTeX plugin. That is where detailed support for this writing workflow lives, particularly for fields that are not used as part of the standard BibLaTeX styles (of which entrysubtype i…

It’s possible that the WSJ app isn’t showing the full standard iOS Share sheet. Zotero would appear next to the Messages icon and the AirDrop icon. Do you see those? Otherwise, tap around into some of the submenus to find those. Is there a button th…

If you are trying to write in TeX using Zotero, you should install the BetterBibTeX plugin and use its output formats. The built-in BibLaTeX export in Zotero is mostly intended as a data exchange format. (And note that if you are actually writing …
