Yes, in 7th edition, names are only added when the citation would otherwise be identical (so same first author and year). Note that initials are added whenever there are multiple authors with the same last name.

What citation style are you using? My memory was that Zotero’s citation processor never applied italics to Asian scripts, so this behavior is surprising to me.

I’m not a developer, but I would expect the Classic interface to be removed at some point now that the default interface can insert items that are selected or open in the Zotero app. I’d recommend switching back to the default interface.

The Zotero 7 beta just has a major visual overhaul and I don’t think BBT has been updated for it. So I wouldn’t be surprised if that feature isn’t working at the moment. It will eventually once BBT is updated
