• For me to get it to work, I had to enable an option in the actions -> preferences menu. I can't remember what it was though.

• I also have tried that and would like this feature. Also, I think some journals separate their keywords with semicolons if memory serves me. So splitting tags automatically on semicolons or commas would be good.

• You can highlight what you want, then right click on it, then select "Create zotero item and note from selection". It saves a snapshot and a note containing the highlighted text.
