  • I implemented it, but it's mostly as a toy - I coded in R, dockerized it, and deployed with heroku. Probably not a production-scale approach, and not best practices. I'll add it to a github repo and share it later this week if that's useful, though.
  • Fantastic! Thanks @adamsmith - I bet I can build something using the Citoid API. Translation server does look reasonable, too, but I'd like to keep my bot serverless if possible. I suspect a bot that takes a /cite PMIDFOO string and uses the Citoid …
  • Are there APIs to translators? It looks like the Zotero API allows read/write, but if I understand the write documentation correctly (https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/web_api/v3/write_requests), it looks like I'd need to populate the JSON from the…
  • That "add to Zotero" channel seems like a good approach. I agree that shooting for full feature support is not a good way to go, and it likely would be a bad idea for a "large collaborative group". But I think it's mostly a question of scaleability…
  • That's handy - thanks for the roadmap. As to what would be posted, I'll have to see what the Zotero API requires, and how authentication works, but yes, I was imagining that someone would post a DOI or PMID, and a reference would be made in a group…
  • It's beyond my ability, but latex-lab allows one to do LaTex in google docs using the GData API. Maybe that's something useful? https://code.google.com/p/latex-lab/
  • EMBO Journal does work for me. I'll be able to check for differences between the EMBO Journal and MSB styles at the office tomorrow.
  • Uh-oh. When I attempt to add a bibliography in Word, I get the following error: "The current bibliographic style does not define a bibliography. If you wish to add a bibliography, please choose another style".
  • Nice find, Adam! Thanks again for your help - I'll play with it some tomorrow, and post to this thread if I find any issues.
  • Most likely. Here's what Nature says in their author guide (http://www.nature.com/nature/authors/gta/#a5.4 ) - this is what I assume the Nature Journal style (and thus MSB) currently do: References are each numbered, ordered sequentially as they ap…
  • Awesome. What more needs to be known about the style than the information in the link I posted? I posted a Style Error instead of Style Request since there is a Molecular Systems Biology style in the repository, but it is incorrect in that it uses s…
  • And now it works! Syncing worked today from all computers concerned. I'm not sure if there was a database hang that a day resolved, or something else. Is there anything I can do in the future so I don't have to just wait for a few days for…
  • I have made a debug dump: The Debug ID is D662661759.
  • It appears that some of the documents (pdfs) I attached at the other computer did not sync, so weren't in my library. Perhaps there was an incomplete sync. I deleted the links to the (nonexistant) pdfs, and re-added the pdfs at my primary compu…
  • Thanks for the pointer to the right spot of the docs. That's too bad - I had hoped someone found a good workaround.
