• +1 on this. Firefox 4.0 Zotero 2.1.8 Win 7 64 bit One core goes to 100%, fields take an age to change (but always do). As soon as search is cleared the problem disappears - but this is obviously not an ideal solution.

• Just to +1 this suggestion. A good solution would be to right click an edited book, then an entry in the context menu that said 'Add chapter...'. Adding details by hand is quite a shock.
