Ah, I hadn't. Now that I have, I am delighted to say it is now all fixed and all the added by information is present and correct (this is the sync which took a long time to go through D1811250113 ) Thanks for figuring out how to make my group librar…

:-( Still no luck, sorry. I've still got the same items with no added info. Here's a debug ID for syncing just that group library after the update D868685981

Done! Here you are D1174447417

That ran successfully - here's the sync debug id D639896735
-
I tried - it says "Error: Please enter a LIKE clause with bindings"

I updated to 9.0-beta.14+8af91b014 and then tried again - no luck. Still looks exactly the same with the items with no "added by" info. Here's another Debug ID for a sync, just in case that helps: D1889140321

I hadn't. I now have (and have then switched to another library and back again) and the same phenomenon persists. Restarting Zotero did not help either

This is fabulous news - really useful for group libraries. There is something odd going on for the "added by" in a large group library of mine, though. Quite a few of the items (I can't figure out a pattern) do not have an "added by" in the desktop…

I'm currently running automatic bluesky posts from a Zotero library using IFTTT and then Buffer. That works well and spaces out new additions rather than publishing them all at the same time.
-
I don't think there is a very good way of handling that specific use case. It was probably always a very marginal practice I have some sets of archival documents that have the same set-up - one entry with lots of JPG archival photos attached and ann…

Zotfile did not migrate across to Zotero 7. But the annotations are now handled by the Zotero PDF reader so you do not need it for that.
-
I find Tropy very efficient, but, like you, prefer having everything in one place - in particular being able to tag across primary and secondary sources gets me in a much better position to start writing.
-
I used to do that (individual image files attached to Zotero items), but I have since switched to PDFs (using the technique detailed here which is pretty efficient https://boiteaoutils.info/2019/02/traiter-de-grandes-quantites-dimages-au-retour-des-…

I've just been to the URL and am wondering if the PDF was obtained using the print option? I get the impression Wiley might be doing this on purpose...
-
Yay, it works! Thanks for finding whatever the problem was! Now off to write something using the shiny new library view...

I've just tried the newest beta and there is slight progress - I can now close the citation window by clicking on the cross at the right, but apart from that unchanged: the cursor does not appear unless I click and when I enter a search term I don't…

I've just tried with 7.1-beta.21+4915f1fad , but no luck - still the same. And I tried leaving it for quite a while without clicking - the cursor didn't appear. Here's the new debug D1490186327
-
And same problem in trouble-shooting mode.
-
I have to click to begin typing. Forgot to say I reinstalled the word plugin (including removing zotero.dotm manually and reinstalling) as part of my attempts to get it working.

You need the variable first-reference-note-number in a style. I was sure I wrote one using that at some point, but can't find it now. https://docs.citationstyles.org/en/stable/specification.html#appendix-iv-variables:~:text=first-reference-note-numb…

You could have a coloured tag called "shelf" and use that to hold the items you want to collect temporarily, assigning it by number key. And when you're done and you have moved the items wherever you need them, you just take the "shelf" tag off them…

It says it's syncing the group but something is not working... https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u13223/6584wgs6bq3ls0eu97dt.png https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u13223/033nf9958a11fqv2q3o8.png

I've just updated to beta 76 and can confirm that a new addition via barcode scan in the android app to the initially problematic group (id 5557552) no longer gets added to other groups. Yay! Residual problem: that group now has three items in the A…

Cheers! I was actually going to come back to say I found those references in my main library too. Excellent if it is now sorted, shall remove the offenders and re-test in due time.
-
Ah, hang on, they are now in the other library (with the cite key from better bibtex which must have been the modification from the desktop. They weren't yesterday before I synced the desktop. https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u1322…

No sign of them in the other library on Android https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u13223/6yvzvfshs1vu5emnbvrn.png

Here we go for the items in the new library where I see them on Android: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u13223/lxsm8ibhmnzygy1v4lgc.png https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u13223/30evs2w2aegr3t350ulr.png https://s3.a…
