You could have a coloured tag called "shelf" and use that to hold the items you want to collect temporarily, assigning it by number key. And when you're done and you have moved the items wherever you need them, you just take the "shelf" tag off them…

It says it's syncing the group but something is not working... https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u13223/6584wgs6bq3ls0eu97dt.png https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u13223/033nf9958a11fqv2q3o8.png

I've just updated to beta 76 and can confirm that a new addition via barcode scan in the android app to the initially problematic group (id 5557552) no longer gets added to other groups. Yay! Residual problem: that group now has three items in the A…

Cheers! I was actually going to come back to say I found those references in my main library too. Excellent if it is now sorted, shall remove the offenders and re-test in due time.

Ah, hang on, they are now in the other library (with the cite key from better bibtex which must have been the modification from the desktop. They weren't yesterday before I synced the desktop. https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u1322…

No sign of them in the other library on Android https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u13223/6yvzvfshs1vu5emnbvrn.png

Here we go for the items in the new library where I see them on Android: https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u13223/lxsm8ibhmnzygy1v4lgc.png https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u13223/30evs2w2aegr3t350ulr.png https://s3.a…

Just in case someone could take a look to see whether anything could be done, specifically about the annotations as they appear when you export a pdf from their desktop software (having synched from the tablet), I've put up an example here that show…

I have long thought it would be interesting to for Zotero to link up with the work which was done in France as part of the BILBO project on the automatic annotation of bibliographical references https://bilbo.hypotheses.org/about They have a new ver…

I let it run for a couple of hours to no change. Then I started watching the realtime debugging and it seemed to be going over and over items from an RSS-feed (theses.fr). It's not something I really used and it had over 1000 items in it so I unsubs…

Startup used to take a couple of minutes, sometimes longer when running better bibtex. As of yesterday, I can't get my library to load at all (well, within half an hour - I'll see if waiting longer does the trick now).

Ok, great. I'll let it all run for a couple of hours and report back then. Thanks!

Right, in order: - it worked fine on this computer until yesterday. I definitely annotated a pdf in my personal library on Monday evening so it was working then. I can't think of anything significant that has happened since. - 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 - 6…

and just in case that helps, here's another from a full restart of the computer: D1829239038

Hi, thanks for getting back to me on this. I've tried again, having disabled third-party plugins and reset the lookup engines. This has ten minutes worth of trying to load my library : D206228282

On dirait une biblio intermédiaire qui n'a pas été (complètement) supprimée. Le plus simple est probablement d'afficher tous les champs dans le document de façon bien visible pour repérer le bout qui pose problème. Instructions pour Libreoffice ici …

I'm only just getting into Roam, but the possibilities of what they call (block-level transclusion - explained here https://www.reddit.com/r/RoamResearch/comments/gvbg1q/what_is_block_level_transclusion_and_why_is_it/) are really appealing to me. I'…

Thanks, that's what I thought originally - ok, I'll stop trying then.

@bwiernik That opens fascinating possibilities - I can't get it to work, though. I've entered keyword: primary and keyword: secondary into the Extra field and then got a sort macro doing this, but with it called first for my bibliography, I'm not …

I haven't got the time to do this, but feel free to ping me here for questions on obscure French formatting quirks and/or comprehension issues of the instructions.

I wrote the style - the problem is that IIRC the style guide gives no indication as to how any other item types should be cited. I have a copy at home and can check when I get home.

Coordinator of the First World War Studies bibliography mentioned earlier here - it used to be hosted using zotpress under Wordpress. At the moment it is fairly broken, using php scripts which fall foul of the 100-item-max for single calls to the AP…

I wrote the original style but have not got the styleguide on me atm. I can check this evening, but I suspect if I did not define magazine article, it is because the styleguide does not specify it...

This is q good example built with Zotero https://encyclopedia.1914-1918-online.net/bibliography/ (see also the references below the encyclopedia articles).
